  1. You have to wear a bra on your head and do the rain dance.
  2. I wish I knew there was a Diner there. I would have rather had diner food then McD's. Now I know for next time... if there is a next time.
  3. I would say from the Crooklyn bridge to exit 70 is an hour, maybe more with traffic. The BQE is usually a nightmare of brake lights and potholes big enough to have their own zip code. Green - I saw the Mobil station and wound up grabbing lunch at the McDonalds over there. That strip mall was the only place that could easily accommodate my truck and 24' enclosed trailer.
  4. Can't go wrong with the wrecker look
  5. Those Li'l Reds are awesome 78 was the best year (79 shown above) as they were the fastest American car of the time. Those trucks beat corvettes. Since 78 didn't have cats on trucks (started 79) they were able to produce more HP. Plus I prefer the single round lights to the dual (quad) retangular lights of 79.
  6. I was in Manorville. If I knew the tour was starting I would have let you know I was coming. Of course I had no idea I was in your neck of the woods. Vin: here's a link to the cuder: http://www.futureclassicsnj.com/closeup.cfm?id=887&type=muscle%20cars&page=5
  7. I have an sad meter separate from the radio. It's a littler more accurate. I think the two antennas are causing interference with each other. I had dual whips on my wrecker and then installed twin Wilson 1000's. It was never as good so I went back to the Wilson fiberglass whips and all was right again. I'll dig out the swr if you come down this wash to check those transmissions.
  8. I assume the same thing. I left a message. The B42 is still in the works but I think Diesel is really what I want.
  9. Saturday I had to deliver a 1968 Barracuda Convertible out to exit 70 off the L.I.E. While I was crossing I was trying to get shots of some cool stuff: Here are a pair of Dumps on my way to the Parkway: Brooklyn Bridge: Mahattan - The building to the right with the cranes on top is the new World Trade Center Leaving Brooklyn: The mighly Verrazano Bridge: Ships anchored off in NY Harbor Not related to this trip but yesterday I went on a mine tour with my wife and my mothers cousin. As I was looking around, I had seen a picture of what looks to be an AC Mack:
  10. 95 is a good life and he had a long career in film. I don't think I've ever a movie where I didn't like his character. God speed good man.
  11. What model B is it? How long has it been sitting?
  12. As if I don't have enough things to collect already you guys made me go on eBay and find a few B Wreckers. I have about 10 model tow trucks right now, no Mack's, but I expect this to change shortly. Damn you people! Ps- I have around 136 model toy Firebirds/Trans Ams to go with my 1980 Firebird formula.
  13. I was lucky enough to do a run out to Manorville on Long Island. My shop has no AC so it's been brutal the past coupe weeks. My co worker said my thermometer on my desk said 101 INSIDE the showroom. I was happily cruising in the shop truck and enclosed trailer with the air conditioner set on Artic Freeze. I got some cool pics of Manhatten on my cell. I'll post them in a new thread in a day or so when I get them off the phone.
  14. TBone, I think I sent you my phone number with the pm so give me a buzz when u think you will come. As for the wrecker, I am trying to get one open day to make the trip
  15. Farmingdale is about 10 minutes from my home. I could meet TBone there if he needs a hand. I am still a little wet behind the ears with Mack parts so I would say he is better qualified for knowing what to look for. I can still offer a hand if needed.
  16. You know what they say, Mopar or no car!
  17. I love imperials. I almost bought one from my dealership I work for last year. White with red interior. Those cars are badass.
  18. Jersey Shore and Jersey Boys are two VERY different things. As said before the Boys is a good show. The Jersey Shore is about a bunch of Ass Hats. I live down at the Jersey Shore and if you went to Seaside (the town they film in) it is pretty much like what you see on TV. I am about 12 miles from there. Every once in a while you catch the film crew in a local restaurant shoot scenes for an up coming episode. Most of the locals stay out of cameras range and don't want to be associated with those fools.
  19. I've seen guys use it inside on the floors. My 4x4 buddy's do it to their wheeling trucks and another dude I know did his floor of his wrecker.
  20. I think to stay classic I go green with red wheels and black frame. But my color of choice would be all black with nice chrome accents.
  21. Happy Independence Day everyone. Don't forget to thank your forefathers and Vet for your freedom. And happy birthday to me.
  22. Line x is a spray in bedliner type stuff. Not a bad idea if you wanted to leave a floor metal or instead of installing a rubber mat. Just take a hose and clean it out.
  23. Pay attention and take notes. I hear there is a pop quiz at the end of the week. Now I am going to sneek a smoke in the bathroom. Warm me if the teacher comes in.
