  1. All this cheesesteak talk, I wound up today at the joint I mentioned above in NJ for lunch and had one with mushrooms and onions. Good stuff. Mmmm
  2. I've been to Genos years ago with my wife. We were in Philly and said heck, let's find the place. People were wrapped around the block for both Pats and Genos. The guys in front of us were telling us how good they were and well worth the wait. After standing in line for over an hour we got our sandwich. It was good but first thing that came to my head was "this tastes exactly like the ones I get on the Seaside boardwalk." Not worth waiting for something I can get in Jersey of the same quality. Heck there is a Pizza place in PT Pleasant NJ on rt 88 also called Pats that has cheese steaks as good if not better. They are known around here as having the best. I have to agree.
  3. I think last year there was around 700 on Saturday. With all that rain this year, 604 is an impressive amount of trucks to show up. Really the best truck show around.
  4. Looked like it was a walk in the park. Not even a strain.
  5. Luke's is the best Cheesesteak in Philly!
  6. Go to www.myradiostore.com. Just buy a new one. There're cheap.
  7. I was going to ask you which SL was your on the field at the picture in front of Watts but I got side tracked. Where were you parked?
  8. That's cool. My wife was unable to get out of the hotel early enough so I missed the Plant and Museum tours. Hopefully next year we will finally go.
  9. Great pictures. My cameras batteries went low halfway around the field so I missed a lot of pictures to take of trucks.
  10. I did put an ad up at Macungie for giggles. When I was printing up the ad for my 1978 F150 I figured what the heck, let's see what happens. If someone bites I will use the money to buy a rollback, which I really need. If no interest ill continue to fix it up. I also got the idea again to convert the General into a rollback. I have to call a couple towing dealers and see what kind of investment it would be. Just bouncing around some ideas. That's all.
  11. Is this some kind of spam. Just joined and only posted the same for sale ad everywhere.
  12. You can get around, just wear boots.
  13. You won't be the only one there with a crusty truck. Those I appreciate the best.
  14. I showed my face today to a couple of you. Drying out in the hotel tonight. If all goes well and the wife and I get up early enough we will get to the show by 9 then do the tour before the photo at Watts.
  15. That's too damn cool. I'd love to have that for hauling crap to the swap meets.
  16. Ah, so I get to see a picture of the B dump crushing the aluminum ramps Mike Mackman was telling me about. Not quite rated for the lbs I'd say. I got there after 2pm today. Raining like heck but got in and found Ken and Mike. See you guys tomorrow. Hopefully the grounds will dry out a bit. I have to go wash my sneakers in the hotel tub now. Mud...
  17. My wife got reservations at the Holiday Inn Express across from Dorney Park so we can hang later on Friday night instead of driving back home. I missed the Mack museum last year. I am going to make sure we do it this time around. They are running the shuttle both days right? See you all there!
  18. Well there was two quarts of transmission fluid to lube the injectors in theremixed with about 10 gallons of fresh fuel from last year. It obviously had an amber hue to it. Now it has another 26 gallons of fresh fuel added to that tank. Depending on my findings, I may have to clean the second tank first, then transfer this fuel there and clean the main tank. Next week ill see if I get a chance to do some investigating.
  19. Thanks for the tip ws721. I don't have a schrader on my fuel caps. Sucker ran perfect to the Hess station. It's when I left getting fuel it crapped out 1/4 mile down the road. I am really thinking it has to do with crap in the tank that got churned up.
  20. Keep it just to plow your driveway.... And the neighbors driveway, and the neighborhood, and the town...
  21. Ill be there both days with my wife. No General (see my post in other makes) but we are still coming Fri and Sat.
  22. Pretty cool but ill stick with mine. More of a Superliner look. I haven't done a thing to it this week. Hopefully next week ill pull the pick up from the tank and see if it got clogged. Then proceed from there.
  23. That looks like a set back front axle too. I have seen a bunch of Generals (pictures) but never seen those headlights. I checked completed auctions and only found a General dump. Did you get an item number?
  24. It's not just the truck market on the rise. The general used car market is also on fire. The last two months I've been at the dealer auctions and cars are doing $1500-2000 over Galves. I've seen Corvettes and Mercedes SL's doing near retail prices and diesel pick ups pulling well over average wholesale. Jeep Wranglers are in the same insane pricing war as well. I have no idea what's going on but it's getting harder to buy good units.
