  1. I remember that story well!! Don't know what ever happened to my book.............that was a very long time ago!
  2. Wonder if the same guy had the B model? Both are deleted. Wonder if my local W model buddies bought it?
  3. Gone already.....
  4. Jolt for the real tough stuff...........
  5. Not sure, I've heard rumors but can't say what really happened to Dan. I know he sold the trucks off a few years back.
  6. Good looking truck. Local Napa should have everything you need to put filters and fluids in it.
  7. Ohhhh, geez. That's BAD news. Nothing much worse then when the motor gods lets you see the rotating assembly from the OUTSIDE of the engine. My local shop dynoed a motor just a month or so back. Big Hemi motor built by someone else. They fired it up, made some baseline pulls. BAM!!!, rod came out the oil pan. They did a little looking and seems the assembler didn't get around to torquing all the rods? OOOHHH man. All the shop could do is wheel all the broken parts back to the guys pickup truck.
  8. How about a leaky ride valve on rearend? I know mine was leaky and would drop in a few hours of sitting. Once replaced the bags stay up all winter.
  9. The old saying..."something is better then nothing" just doesn't hold much anymore? The lawyers circle the wagons too easily these days.
  10. I wonder what the actual price tag is when new? Likely much more then $125K. The bad part is figuring out the wiring? Fire equipment just doesn't hold much value.
  11. I'm trying to think where I saw steering wheel restoration ads? I thought I remember something about $600? But that sounds cheap these days considering all the work involved. Maybe it was much higher? I do recall something about a warranty too. Found this guy: http://www.steeringwheelbob.com/ Pricing starts at $500-600 and goes up from there. I know I saw someone, likely on BMT, that had their wheel done somewhere.
  12. Ha....didn't even pick up on that one Paul. We call that "nature's domelight"......;) Only works on sunny days.
  13. Holey Crap!! $6500!! Original owner or not.....I want what they are smoking!!!! Is there $6000 in the glovebox? Oh, wait there is NO glovebox...
  14. Got that right Dan. With your introduction..........she was swooned with my charm and good looks......LOL!!! Caught me off guard totally when she wanted to go see my old rusty junk. I'm just another pea in the pod, so I don't expect anything to come from it.
  15. Ya, Bill had to stop as his cart was getting beat pretty bad. He typically will carry it in his trailer very similar to yours(with air ride). I heard him on the radio talking about it and then pulled over.
  16. Friend about destroyed his golf cart while riding on the rear of his drop deck. They had to stop and adjust it. Then had to repair broken alum brackets when he got home. Those old solid axle trailers are neat looking, but not pleasant for items strapped on top.
  17. I want to fix my wheel, really bad. Just need to take it off and do it. Got to grind all the plastic out, then sandblast the rusty wire and coat it, then rebuild the plastic. Almost worth the big money they get for it? I'm just not much of a sander/painter.
  18. BBC? Pfft. Try a 427/428 FE!
  19. Or remove nut, rotate engine with bar and wait for oil to push the spring/plug out. Just guard yourself from flying parts/oil!!!
  20. See if they will help prove it runs? Make them put a few bucks up towards making it run. Then split the difference?
  21. Doesn't the valve come out the side of the pump? It's been ages since I've looked at one closely.
  22. Mopar is handy with external oil pump.
  23. Doesn't look too hateful for a NY truck. Might be worse up close? Have to really pick it over before offering anything over scrap price. If marginally decent, I'd say $2-3K? Just a shot in the dark.
