  1. I remember it. It was parked up at the end of the row I was in. It had an air starter on it.
  2. Just a little update. It's all together and I got to try it out last weekend in the hills of PA. Works really nice. Need to adjust my pedal switch just a touch as the vibration at higher speeds tend to flutter the switch and deactivate it. Holding the gas pedal up with slight pressure makes it work again. Used it on the big hill at Milroy, on 322. Kept my speed and never really had to hit the brake pedal to hold speed. Too bad my transmission is so sloppy I really have to hold the shifter in gear. It tends to want to jump out.
  3. Two stick 12 spd. There was one for sale on here last fall? I'm sure someone that knows more about them, but I'm guessing it is the early version and the air shifted one was later?
  4. I had my first and only hand at rebuilding an oil cooler when I put one on my 237(it was missing). I cleaned it up, washed it thoroughly in the parts washer to get all the old baked on oil residue out of it. New O rings and it sealed up nicely. Should last the time I'm around to drive it.
  5. Ya, Billy, I have it all together and working well now.
  6. I checked them out at Beaver on Friday night. Looks good. Driving home Saturday night, I could see the faint reflection in the corner stainless of the trailer. I should have gotten a picture.....I'll try to remember in a couple weeks when I get it out again.
  7. Here I was thinking it was something I did. Glad to hear it wasn't! I'm good with it.
  8. Figured it wouldn't take you long to get back into complain'n bout Momma's weight.........
  9. Badass Paul. Sorry it won't be able to run at FE Reunion with that 9 in it. Someone had a Mustang funny car there for sale. Rough, real rough. Roller, no motor. Forgot to take picture. Bill, Beaver Springs PA. Over by Carlisle. That setup you made is how many smaller diesel pusher RVs are set up. Air over hydraulic. Just a chamber hooked to master cylinder.
  10. Shotgun as in Boss 9? That is what I typically hear it as. Not referring to FE Cammer or Sohc.
  11. I see John a few times a year. He usually brings his other Tridrive B to our local show in Ashland. I've run my B against him in the slow race. He beats me!
  12. I used to have the gain maxed out to get any brakes. By the time I got to the other side of PA I had to crank it down to about half. It was overheating the resistors and you could smell it while driving around town. Works really well. Very happy with it.
  13. All new brakes and turned the drums. Ya, I broke it last year. This was just stupidity of not addressing an issue and it caused failure. I'm not always the brightest bulb in the pack. If it wasn't muddy and wet I likely would have jacked the car up and got under there and adjusted the shifter and not had problems. Oh well.
  14. Trailer brakes work excellent. Unfortunately I hurt transmission in car so no extra money for truck transmission. Ugh....that racing.
  15. Beautiful today for the trip. About 50 cars here now. Made me some dinner on the grille!! Time for some shut-eye. Weather tomorrow still 50-50.
  16. Weather looks marginal now....but I'm making the trip. Beaver Bob still runs this event.
  17. I Just have small incandescent rectangle marker lights, surface mount kind. I mounted them to a piece of metal so just the edge of the light shines out the bottom of the cab lip. I do have 3/4" LED under the bunk.
  18. My supply tanks only hold for an afternoon at best. Likely the air wiper switch(again). I put a new o ring in it years ago and it really helped with holding air for a day. It was shorted lived. I just had to put a new parking valve in, and I think that has helped a bit now too. One time last summer I lost my start tank in a few days. I think there must have gotten some junk in the check valve going to the tank and it bled off quickly.
  19. I put a flip valve on the dash and a ball valve back at the tank for my air assist steering. I got all the bases covered. Good looking R model.
  20. Mine did well for its first winter. It went 2-3 months before dropping off too low to crank. I hoped it would go all winter, but to no avail. Not sure if it was just the cold or valving? It's all new. Or maybe just one of the fittings isn't totally sealed?
  21. I have a snow blade, but I'd have to put a few thousand pounds on the top of the tractor to get enough downforce to do any good. Though yesterday I spent a good amount of time raking gravel back INTO the drive from last years snow plowing. I try to keep track of where I'm at, but I screwed it up bad this past winter. Ugh. Overall my drive is pretty flat, I tend to make sure I drive all over it, and not just in the same tracks every day. I almost have more driveway surface then yard? Not such a bad thing....less to mow.
  22. I put a 24x24 pad of concrete in front of the garage door, makes for a nice work area since the garage is full. No more dragging a jack through the gravel and loosing ever nut you drop!!! Just wish I could afford to put more down.
  23. Sounds pretty cool. I just spent all weekend thrashing to get my stuff all cleaned and loaded to get over to Beaver Springs for the FE Reunion this coming weekend. Pretty neat event, with some pretty cool guys showing up. Like Ohio George, Bruce Larson, Al Joniac, Hubert Platt(he passed away last year)and others.
