  1. We appreciate you taking the time to do the right thing (and documenting it.)
  2. Belated Happy Birthday! I should've waited just a bit longer and wished you a Happy 40th. That's what comes after 39 don'tcha know.
  3. That is certainly a believable story. I understand UPS went on to buy a few more F models.
  4. Nice shots as always. I recognise the drive-thru power plant on Rte 7 in Stratton, OH, but where was the "alleged" Diamond Reo located? Harborcreek is the name of the town. I spent many a night in the motel in the foreground. The company gave $75 allowance for motel and meal expenses and they had a Trucker rate of $32 IIRC.
  5. Nice save. That must've been quite sight on the highways when you were heading home. "Have a ball' is another way of saying "have fun" I'ts about time. It's seems like you've been 12 for well over a year!
  6. Glad you and the kids are okay. I had a two-fer back in mid October while at work . There were four crossing a two-lane near Cumberland,MD and there was no way I was getting stopped in time. I layed on the horn hit the brakes and barely clipped one with the front left corner of the bumper, As I'm watching that one trying to regain her balance I felt a series of 5 bumps coming from the right side of the truck. That one was messy but no damage to the truck. Company wide there were 17 deer collisions that week and I was 1 of 2 from our terminal that night. Do you think the buck was heading to Davenport on business or for personal reasons?
  7. Nice shots. I'm surprised to see an armadillo so far north.
  8. The top one is fake. The Stay Puft Marshmellow man was destroyed by a group of Ghostbusters in 1984. I'm a history buff, I know what I'm talking about. The second one is real. I was there when it happened.
  9. I was always comfortable with the pad on the door and doubt that I would've used one on the seat if so equipped. If you are unable to find a good way to cover the hole you can just leave in the up postion rather than remove them. This way you can swap out the right passenger armrest when the right driver starts to wear without having to remember where you put them after they were removed.
  10. Sneakers in NY=Tennis Shoes in VA.
  11. A tasty dinner and no one got shot...It was a good day.
  12. Nice work! If I were a teacher you would get bonus points for correctly spelling bologna in your post.
  13. Oh no you didn't!
  14. Thanks. I'd never heard of that model number.
  15. I would think the number on the trans would be correct.
  16. The link below can be found by clicking the Wiki button at the top of this page. Lots of great info there. Your tranny would be a TRD-720 since it's an OD. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/37-b-model-transmission-data/
  17. That should've been the first question in the first post. He's slipping. How is the H69 different from an H67? Is it the daycab version?
  18. The necessary amount, apparently!
  19. Oh sure. No close up of the mirror bracket, but we get a nice shot of the forward tilted fifth wheel.
  20. Very nice small fleet. The '72 looks like what Zavitz used to run, but I don't think they switched from red to white until sometime in the '80's.
  21. It seems odd that a particular emoticon is seldom used on this sight. I'll do my part to make up for lost time. :icon_bs: :icon_bs: :icon_bs: :icon_bs: :icon_bs:
  22. I feel bad for the guy. He has repeatedly been the victim attacks by various creatures and all everyone wants to do is poke fun at him. That picture is hilarious!
  23. I'm not a big fan of the Clariben hoods, but it doesn't look so bad with the L cab.
  24. I once went to bed with a girl that looked like that but woke up with the one up top.
