lol beats me I don’t know anything about them. I’m sure somebody else will chime in

one thing I can tell you about the H;; if your in one on a cold winter day ;it don't start so you are being towed by a diamond T wrecker having  a pull plate of 2 in steel in the upright position:::  MAKE SURE THE DUPLEX TWIN STICK IS IN BOTH MAIN AND AUX.!! with no air built up and a hand brake which is frozen not much to do when the wrecker stops for traffic and the H model doesn't stop till the crash of the wrecker pull plate modifies the bubble nose of the H. this all takes place while the service manager and 3 prospective buyers watch.  main was in gear aux wasn't.  new rules took place after that.. pull plate down to bumper height/ air will be built up in towed unit . LOL

Forgot to mention, they were all painted Allied van lines, colors, and all in really good shape like they had been restored

Bob, how did they look in Allied Van lines colors those days? Bright orange all over?

I like the look of them H's.

I don’t quite remember you’re talking 40 years ago. I just remembered they were painted the same as the rest of their trucks all running around the bay area. You probably don’t even know where I’m talking about. Whatever Allied was using back  then that’s the scheme they had. Somebody has got to have photos of them somewhere.

Yes, I found that one myself… and thanks for that TJ but these were a different color than that. I think they were darker orange with maybe black fenders as I mentioned it I really can’t remember but they were all in really mint condition. That one looks very tired ha ha

I’ve tried to search for my dad‘s old company photos. I can’t find anything on it except for patches which I have bought and a B model ,, model with their logo. I guess there was probably nothing interesting at the time… they had U model Mack’s for the road and most of their city rigs were load stars really nothing unusual about anything they had. Beacon fast freight I’m sure you remember them TJ they had a yard in Kearney.

7 different G series :::G72 -"only 2 made in 1961 /G73'59=='62 (1116) /G75 '59='62(319) /G77'60='62 (24) / G733 '59='62 (177) /G753 '59='62 (502) /G773 '59='62 (41 made).. interesting the 73 came out two years before the 72 .  1959- 1962 big year for the G series. '62 seems to be end year for the G and the H models. still working on what the differences were between number designations,
