We went to our favorite restaurant in Appomattox and it did not disappoint. I usually go with the tacos al pastor, but today I decided to go with the ribeye and shrimp with beans and rice. But this ribeye was today's special so I got that instead. Saw a couple of Winfall Department of Public Works employees working on a new sign post. Thank you Vlad, yes that's the official uniform of the Winfall Department of Public Works. I saw one of them at an antique truck show in Colfax, N.C. one time wearing that same uniform. As for me, I'd just as soon get chicken from KFC and eggs from Kroger. But there's a saying, something about "happy wife..." So I've been working on this chicken coop that we got at Tractor Supply. They loaded it with a forklift and It was way too heavy for me to lift, I can only lift 490 lbs. So I had to open the box on the truck and carry it to the jobsite piece by piece. So after every 4 dozen eggs, I buy him a bag of laying pellets, since he wont let me buy the eggs outright.. Popular Post cruiseliner64 Posted 7 hours ago Popular Post Share Posted 7 hours ago Have to agree Joey fresh eggs are super.Up untill recently we just bought eggs from the supermarket.When we got the use of the shed for the Cruiseliner that all changed.The guy whos farm we are on is also an egg farmer.He has 6000 birds in two sheds but has 14 acres fenced off so they can run around with the sun on their backs clucking and doing what hens do!!!.The farmer gives us a a couple of trays of freshly laid eggs every so often.They are fantastic.....
