I was tempted to turn the AC on today, but I didn't.

Our electric bill seldom gets over $200, but it has been the last 2 months. We had unusually cold weather though, so it should be coming back down. My son lives in Pamplin and his bill was over $650 last month and his new one that he hasn't even gotten yet is also over $650. He lives in an older 2 story house, probably not the best insulation either, so that's probably why. I have a step daughter who lives in Pound, VA. and her electric bill was over $800- wow!

we usually use the pellet stove for heat but that’s another 240 a month for the pellets

What is the price of a ton/bag of pellets today in Sun Valley? Local guy is at $440 a ton this past weekend. l still have two plus tons left to go in the cellar. l paid $340 a ton picked up back in June.    .....Hippy

I haven’t bought any lately, but the last time I went in there I pay 160 for 20 bags. I don’t know what a pallet is of 40 but I don’t go to the cheapest retailer I do business with the local farm supply and they load them in the back of my pick up. I gotta go get some more Monday. I will let you know Home Depot is usually the cheapest or Costco

And hippy,,, I did not think anybody knew what a pellet stove was back there I never heard of them until I moved to Reno. They are very common here.

I never did. I've heard of pellet smokers, but not a pellet stove for home heat.

I does great unless we get single digit weather at night in the morning I have to turn on the heater a while but I changed the. Blower a few years ago and picked one that doesn’t blow as fast as the original… with the old motor it works a little better… but it’s 45 years old I will be putting in a brand new pellet stove after this season

l'm heating 2100sqft with a Harman PF100 hot air pellet furnace. First fire was Oct 04. A New Englander pellet stove on the enclosed porch. And two different sized Trager pellet grill/smokers. My son heats with a PF100 also. Pelletheads-R-US!    .....Hippy
