25% import tariff on imported heavy trucks - effective October 1st

Recommended Posts

Is there any import tarriff on heavy trucks into the U.S. at the moment ?

I personally don't have any issues with tarriffs as we had them up until the 80's and back then nearly everything you could think of was made in Australia

All part of the "Agenda 21" and level playing field rubbish has ruined Australian manufacturing

I suspect the U.S. is similar

Heck, we used export Australian made cars around the world back then

Not only should they be made in the US but owned by the US Companies. Lets come up with policies to send the Europeans and Japan packing. Tariffs can level the playing field. There aren't enough toes and fingers to count the number of once great American Companies that have been lost to these foreign countries. US government officials and corporate boards of directors should be ashamed of their greed!

The best thing about tarriffs are people then get to choose how much tax they pay

Support your countries industries and pay less tax, support oversees companies and pay a more tax

The nay sayers will waffle on with a lot of waffle and blame unions and energy costs and what ever else they can think of

But the truth is very different, more people buying and supporting local companies means more workers working paying income tax which means there's less people on handouts, less people sitting around doing nothing, because people are no longer sitting on their backside doing nothing, they are healthier

Because people are healthier and now have a purpose to life they won't be turning to drugs which means less crime

So far I can't think of one reason tarriffs are bad or any negative at all

One thing I do know for sure is if driving along a road and turn left instead of right

The longer you go left for with your head up your bum trying to convince yourself that your going the wrong way the further it is once you do turn around to get bacl to were you last heading the right way

We can keep on running along with our head up our bums B.S.ing to our selves that everything is okay or we can at least stop and look about and ask ourselves "just how the hell did we end up here ?"

Anyway, off my soap box and off to work for me
