I just acquired a B61T. Door tag appears to be B61T-1756? I've stripped paint from rear spring mount to the brake hose fitting... can't see a trace of any stamped data.

Sure appreciate help if I'm looking in the wrong area of the frame.

I'm located in Wisconsin.

Mack serial numbers usually started at 1000, so you have a very early model. Unless something was different in the earliest days of the B model, the serial number will be on the side of the frame rail, passenger side, between the front axle and the rear spring hanger for the front axle. In this picture the yellow area is the serial number.

I am blessed to know most of the history on this truck.  Owned by a local family friend for around 60-70 years. It had a tandem axle, winch, and wet kit added early in it's life. Odd that it doesn't have a stamp, but I appreciate your photo! Now I can start cleaning it up enough to get it running. It's been almost 50 years since I saw her towing D8 crawlers past our farm.

I was told by a very respectful person that in early years (1953 or so) B-models had the chassis stamping somewhere in the rear portion of the frame. I have never re-checked that info but I'm not a B-model guy.

Our '57 B Model has it on right side (passenger side),  out side of frame rail, slightly behind the front axle.  You can see the oil pan in the back ground of the picture.

Modern Mack's also have it on the front frame rails (at least until Jan 2025 when I retired).  Normally left side, but some have it on both L & R rails and one is usually hidden to counter thief and resale of frames with modified VIN's.
