Here's a couple of Bob from Tennessee's vehicles that he restored and shows, or used to show. I don't think he does much with them anymore. He said the last time he took anything to a car show it was that KW you can see part of in the driveway there.

He has 4 more trucks and cars parked in his basement too, but I didn't take my phone with me when he showed them to us, but they looked fantastic.

OK, thank you. I'll take a look when we get it back home.

Oh, I see what you're talking about now- the truck is an '84, not '74. That's a misprint, due to big fingers, arthritis, and small screens.

I shall go back and fix that right now.

lol i was thinking the one i drove seemed to have a much squarer nose,,,,but it (WAS) 50 years ago,,,bob

Here's what Wikipedia says-

That wiki needs a bit more research.  The L10 was not built in Jamestown, or it would have been a J10.  It was built in nearby Lakewood, NY, hence the L.  My BIL worked there for quite a few years.  My career FD had two pumpers built on Ford LN-9000 chassis, both with L10 engines, one rated at 280 Hp., the other at 300 Hp.  They wouldn't go fast if you drove them off a cliff!

I get e-mails all the time from trucking companies trying to to recruit me to drive for them. And some of them offer like TWICE what I was making before I retired. Makes me wonder...but I'm not going back.

Just got the GMC back from Powell's Truck and Equipment. They ended up sending the pump off to be rebuilt because it was taking so long to get a pump for it. Been up there since February. They also replaced the air bags, leveling valve, a fuel line, and a turbo clamp.

A little over $4400.

But we drove it to the Walmart store today.
