1958 B61 Integral Sleeper

Saw this on Craigslist. Not mine just posting here incase someone is interested. Seems high on price but I think these might be rare?

Those are definitely rare, but that one's pretty rusty for $18,000. I've never seen a fifth wheel that has ears that rest on the frame rails like that.

There is no 5th wheel plate, just hinge points bolted to the frame. Unusual. Looks to ME like it is pretty good shape but, yes pretty pricey. I am not one to gravitate to "rare", I like what I like and if it is rare, that sucks because it makes parts hard to get. I prefer common. I suspect they ARE rare but probably because they were to ugly for anyone to buy them new.

Looks like a truck used for rail yards. Fifth wheel is an early version of the trailer rails for picking up trailers dropped low or atleast that's what it looks like to me. I'd definitely pay the money for it being in excellent shape especially inside. But my wallet ain't that full
