Bullheaded Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 I used to drive an E9 Superliner with a 12 speed Mack and it literally used to shift itself, LOL It would just fall into the next gear on it's own. 57 bcr Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 You're right. My uncle drove a new Super-Liner in '88-'89 for a construction outfit he was working for. It was an E9-500/12 speed. From the get-go,it would jump out of certain gears. Mack had a recall on them and the fix was the dampener. He said it worked okay,but thought it was kind of goofy.
