Popular Post ranchhopper Posted November 16, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted November 16, 2015 Getting engine buttoned up on the 79 superliner I bought just finishing up on the in frame rebuild waiting for the injectors to come back from the shop so I really cant put anything together on the top of the engine. I have some things on like the turbo intake from the intercooler temporarily put on to keep the mice out of everything stuffed up other openings with rags but the injectors should be back this week so I can finally start it up not much else going on with it until I can get the engine done. 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ranchhopper Posted November 16, 2015 Author Share Posted November 16, 2015 New pistons, rings, liners,bearings,oil pump, injectors remanned just had my friend from work adjust the valves checked the turbo and turbine virtually no wear regasketed the whole thing pretty much a new engine. When I have it running and roadworthy Im going to take it to my friends diesel shop and have the timing redone Im pretty sure that's what did the pistons in to begin with. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Popular Post ranchhopper Posted November 28, 2015 Author Popular Post Share Posted November 28, 2015 Got some more done on the truck today nothing earthshaking but I did clean up the front wheels so I wont have to do it in the spring and it makes the truck look a little better. I was surprised how well they took to being polished they shined up pretty well and still waiting on injectors the old ones were a mismatched bunch of junk so I bought a set of NOS Robert Bosch injectors now the correct nozzles are being put on them I might be able to fire it up next week. 9 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
