Superdog Posted June 30, 2014 Share Posted June 30, 2014 Every state is different it seems but 1st thing to do is have the DMV do a title search,using the VIN to determine if there is an active title in your state,hopefully still in the name of who you got the trucks from. Maddog13407 Posted June 30, 2014 Share Posted June 30, 2014 guess that's the one thing Ny has not screwed up yet. no titles required for vehicles older than 1974. all they require is a vin etching with a pencil and they do a search to make sure there is no back Truck Mileage Tax owed on it, fill out a few papers and they give you Historical plates and your good to go.
