fullfuel01 Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 I'm in need of a complete of what's left of a TRDXL10780 mack transmission. it was using the same cassing (or damn close too) of the 12 speeds. would consider buying complete truck. it was in production from 1970 to 1981 in R, RD,Dm etc...it's a 5 speeds, with direct or 'lo' and overdrive on the second stick. skip Posted March 6, 2014 Share Posted March 6, 2014 The gearbox mentioned sounds similar to a TRDXL1070, and a TRDXL107. These were both 5 speed main sections with a high/low section. The TRDXL1070 has a lockout in the compund section which only allows the second lever to be shifted when the main is in 4th and 5th. The TRDXL107 has a lockout in the compound section which only allows the second lever to be shifted when the main is in 1st and reverse.
