Popular Post mackmodelb Posted January 21, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted January 21, 2013 Thought that seeing as the temp yesterday in Wisconsin was around 5 deg, it would be a good time to haul home another project. 1961 B61. She has a newer 273 turbo motor, but she did not want anything to do with starting at that temp. So I used an air hose from the R and aired the tanks, released the brakes and winched it on. Got alot of looks going down the highway. Only had to haul it about 80 miles. I could have driven it the day before when I was there to drive it and pay for it. I thought it was cool having the younger generation Mack hauling the older generation. mackmodelb Posted January 21, 2013 Author Share Posted January 21, 2013 Yup. I live just around the corner from there. I drive truck and farm, every weekend/part time, for the owner of the R model. He keeps me out of trouble and always working on the side doing truck and tractor maintenance.And yes, 237 motor. It was just put in before I purchased the B model. Maybe has 200 miles on the rebuild. Pleanty of power for the truck.She is pretty straight and the interior leaves room for improvement. But so does my other B model. Everything else works on it.
