Last I was on here I had just started my new job hauling crude oil from the oil fields to a pipeline that eventually flows to a refinery in Laurel, MT. The job is going great! Excellent money, excellent bennies that transferred over and I work my 40 hrs in 3 days!! Its awesome only working 12 days a month!! Okay I will quit rubbing that in . I have been keeping busy, just go back from a week visit to my parents and my grandpa. The doctors gave him some semi-experimental drug that has to be taken within 4 hrs of a stroke to be effective. Dad and Gramma decided he should try it and the results were excellent! He was home in about 2 weeks and has recovered dang near 100%. His left ring finger and pinky are a little week but do function. Its blizzarding here today and it was a miserable Blankity-Blank to drive in. Low visibility due to blowing snow and snow "dust" from oncoming traffic and about 4" of snow covering the road. I was driving one of the A trains today and they suck on anything but dry pavement. They are 107' long, have 11 axles and can haul about 260 barrels (about 10,920gal) legally. As you guys can probably guessed unloaded the truck has NOOO drive tire traction, loaded drive tire traction is a little better but now you have 7 heavy axles to drag thru snow and mud and to add insult to injury you cant turn it just pushes when the pusher axle is down. When I got home tonight I came home to a big snow drift so I took advantage of the beautiful stormy night and went out into that cold, crisp air and fired up my old Ferguson tractor and commenced to cleaning up snow. Before I finished up and put my tractor away I noticed my neighbor had a ginormous drift that I couldnt help but dig into and clean it up for her. I love plowin' snow (when its a hobby at my leisure) and like helping my neighbor out. Any how I hope all is well in the BMT world. HeavyGunner Posted February 2, 2013 Author Share Posted February 2, 2013 Well after a nice weekend with my family camping at Tiber ice fishing the topic of me selling the Mack came up. I told my dad there was interest in the truck but most people didnt want to travel this far to pick it up which is understandable. At any rate my dad said he had mentioned my selling of the Mack to my grandma and she was upset to see that I was selling it just to help them out. My dad told me that the truck was not in the way under the lean too and if I wanted to fix it up still that I should keep it. As you have probably already figured out I am keeping the Mack and if all goes well maybe I can get it over here this spring or summer. I know for sure once my wife finishes her degree I can get it over here since both of us will be working.
