What U-Joint is used for steering shaft?

Recommended Posts

Wanted to look for a couple spare U Joints for my truck and trying to see if anyone would know the part # by year and make. Don't know if it is the same part # that is used on most model trucks but just thought I'd ask.

The U-Joint is the one that is connected to the power box and steering shaft and the same U is at other end of steering shaft that connects to steering wheel shaft. Hope I made sense of this.

Truck is the 1993 RW713 Superliner Tandem Dump w/20k fronts 58k rears camelback. Same U-Joint is used on my brothers 1994 RD688SX tandem dump 18k/58k camelback.

Thanks Steve. I was going to try and see if there was a part number on the U's on truck but doubt there would be any.

So Spicer 5-170X should be it.

Truck is just sitting for now as I've been injured and have time to stock up on little parts like this to keep around. Hope to be back behind the wheel before years' end but we'll see.
