  1. I have a Radiator that was purchased BRAND NEW from Mack in 2004. This was a brand new core at the price of $1400.00. I built the radiator using my existing tanks which were thoroughly cleaned before installation. I parked the truck about 8 months after doing this. This is the offset forward core to accomadate a viscous fan hub, so you can change your belts without tilting the radiator forward or smashing the fins. I dont want to scrap it, but I'm tired of it sitting around. I am probably not going to build anymore Macks, so that is the reason for selling. It was in a 1977 R685ST, but I dont see any reason why it wouldn't fit any R 600 series, unsure if it would drop right in a 700. Located in Central Indiana. Please call my cell and leave a message....765-661-2909
  2. For a Superliner 1985 RWL vin#1m2u215y1fm001185 any know the part number for the two rubber bushing/ isolaters on the radiator support rods? Mack gave me 25158186, 20ql252p7, 20ql231p5 which does not make any sense since there is only a top and bottom. I asked for the hood welting and the gave the part number for center cab vent hood seal 25162648. I cant cross these to anything and they are $20 each.

  5. I need a radiator to fit a 1974 R685. It is important that it does not leak. The one I have already does that. Close to SE PA or able to deliver to York or Macungie would be great. It is for this truck. . Thanks. Mike. 610. 764. 8283.

  10. My name is Will Garrett from Sweet Home, Oregon. Ya I'm that guy dragging in all that old iron here in the pacific northwest. I have to say that this has been a great experiance learning and gettting involved with these old trucks. I have always enjoyed finding old cars as a kid with my dad and saving them from the smelter. I never knew much about big trucks ,but was always interested in them. It all started with my day job, I am one of the owners of Radiator Supply House and spend alot of time on the road doing sales. This takes me into truck and diesel repair shops, dealerships, truck salvage yards, logging farming and mining operations. I always seem to have an eye for for the old iron not that hardly ever know what im looking at, I try to make conversations with it and it always seems to educate me and i never know what i come dragging home. I have met alot of neat follks and learned alot of a bygone era that my generation knows nothing about. I dont like to be viewed as a salesman but in all honesty its in my blood and i enjoy making friends with it and saving some of these old trucks. So needless to say I enjoy my job out selling radiator because i never know where it is going to take me from day to day. On the flip side getting involved with all these old trucks i have started hanging on to all the old radiator parts. In our industry with scrap price up so high most everybody sends this stuff to the scrap yard. I struggle with scrapping these old parts, not that there is a big demand for it, but it has opened alot of doors for us. Hopefully ya'all wont mind me hanging around and asking some 1st grade questions on some of these trucks and posting a few of the pieces I find.
  11. My B-61 is up and running and I had a couple questions on the cooling system. I searched the old posts but nothing seemed to have it all in one or all the answers. My truck seems to only get up to 140 degrees on the gauge. Before I left on Friday I made sure all the fluids were up and I topped the radiator off to about 1/2 inch below the fill neck after about 10 miles the temp gage got close to 140 degrees it seemed to burp and a burst of antifreeze came out the cap not the overflow and then it did not leak or blow out anymore. I got parked and it was not leaking or blowing out just the single burp. Before we got ready to leave I checked the level and it was down about 1". I did not add any more and it ran fine temp only getting to just under 140 degrees on the gage. Yesterday I topped it of made sure the shutters were closed and let it run at about 1500 rpms for about twenty minutes, temp did not climb very high so I opened up the shutters and took it for a ride about 5 miles out it burped again and temp stayed at 140 degrees, I headed home and pulled up to the shop and opened the cap the antifreeze was luke warm, down about 1inch and I got out my heat gun and the temps were all constant within 5 degrees on the block and heads on both sides. I know the cap is swollen so I am going to replace it and I was going to pull the thermostat and check it, did not know if it was stuck open or stuck shut than surging open causing the push into the radiator. My Truck has a END 673 35933 Is this the location of the thermostat? or does mine not have one as I read in a different manual that not all models had them <<The operation and maintenance manual (1960) talks about the cooling system on pages 101 and 102 but does not show location.>> I found the Part # for the thermostat supposed to a Mack #657GC225-P2, the manual says the thermostat is supposed to be 170 degree The cap is supposed to be 10 psi?
  12. I have a pin hole or holes in my radiator i have been to such sites as Detroit radiator Corp but, with the 44 choices, i am unsure of what I need for Our 88 MC600FC EM6 285.
