  4. Welcome Jeremy, Where are you located? Here in Tennessee, Macks have always been plentiful. I'm glad the Mack has been strong for many years. They were considered the work horse of the tractors. If you wanted a strong pulling truck, you immediatedly thought of MACK. I fell in love with the B Model look back in 1962 when I was nine years old. I could only hope I could get to drive one someday. When I was a kid, I was going to be a truck driver. That day finally happened in 1985 for a printing company I was already working for. It was a run down F 700 Ford straight truck, carrying paper rolls for printing presses at night. I didn't know the Governor or Mayor so I never recieved any phone call from any of the Trucking Companys that I applied for. All is well anyway, I finally got my Mack, and I greatly like it. This a great site and I welcome you to it. Hope you find the people genuine and very helpful to you as I have. mike
  5. Thanks for showing this B. I have it on my calendar at work and do not want to turn it over to the next month. This one of the best looking B's I have seen!. It's too bad for me that it's several thousand miles away from Tennessee. Keep up the good work. mike
  6. Guys I didn't know you all could get so serious. I'm having to wipe a tear or two running down my leg. mike
  7. Guys, Merry Christmas, Hope Santa is good to you boys and girls out their, gives you all the MACK toys you want. I could use one of those Tire Changing toys but don't know what store to get it from. LOL Maybe Terry could tell us? Maybe if I set out some cookies and milk, Santa might realize i've been Bad enough this year to send one my way. Merry Christmas mike
  8. Terry, I've never had a tire changed like that before. Never known any female that knew how to hold the wrench correctly. LOL yea, and Merry Christmas to you also. mike
  9. Everyone I know today drives more than one vehicle. LOL mike
  10. If it has a dryer/filter look to see if it is oil in it also. I go along with Terry on the subject "AIR PUMP". mike
  11. Rob, I think that is great to find that kind of information on your truck. When Rose sent the packet of my truck, the only thing I have to go on is, the truck was sent to Neely/Coble Mack Trucks of Nashville and the date April 16th 1962. I finally called, they are a Freightliner and I bet you can guess what the other truck they sell is, and it's not a Mack, dealer now. I talked to Mr. Coble about my truck and he was interested enough to help me when I get ready for a photo with an old original sign that reads Neely Coble Body Shop. I'll settle for that. Many changes have been made since it was a Mack Dealership. Thanks for sharing that about your truck on this site. I hope to see more as you find out more. mike
  12. Welcome, from Tennessee. been to Biltmore House several times. Beautiful country in that area. Not sure of Hwy. 64 but have traveled 321 to Gatlinburg. By the way, I have been to Hotsprings, NC for the massage and hot bath where the twin rivers meet. It is Heaven, you feel great when you leave after the massage etc. My best friend lives in Morristown, TN. and goes their often, even during the winter. Keep on posting. I'm still learning this site also. I need to post pictures. We love pictures on this web-site. mike
  13. Chris, Welcome to Mack Mania. You'll find the greatest of people and help on this site. You will probably need to hook up with Charlie Hatfield. He knows the fire trucks very well. Sorry if I forgot someone else out there. He is the first person I met at a Kentucky truck show. Much luck and progress on your fire truck. mike
  14. Charlie, I have had State Farm for 38 years and they have been great to my family. I have Tow In for all my vehicles so they pay for the towing bill after you send them the reciept. Well acouple months back I had the Mack towed. It cost $250.00 for a trip across town being 19 miles. When I contacted my agent, they said they have never seen a towing bill this expensive, and could only pay the maximum of $85.00 for the tow. Well I'm a bit unhappy about that to say the least. mike
  15. AMEN BROTHER, AMEN........ THANK YOU FATHER IN HEAVEN!!!!!!! another MACK RESCUED.....yea!..... Rob, I'm so happy now that I believe I came up with a possible idea. To build a B-61 rolling Mack BBQ Pit, and have the GREATEST PARTY EVER!!!! mike
  16. Who cares about California? Many are giving up their million dollar homes and moving here. These old southern farmers never saw one hundred thousand dollars before the big expansion took place. They think that is BIG money........ WRONG. But you are right, they will soon be here. If you run an antique tag on your truck, then the USAC government is keeping those off the streets except saturdays and sundays. And most of us are not driving them enough to keep the sludge out of the engines. Sorry, I'll get off of my soap box now. mike
  17. Man,! Those are EXCELLENT. I really enjoyed them. I'm glad someone is proud of those trucks that came from the USA. And I hope the parts are not so high that they can hardly buy them for those trucks. mike
  18. Yes, And i'll second that motion. Most if not all will go with Gulfway Insurance. mike
  19. My Thermodyne, If you will tell us Mack Lovers where you are located we will be glad to tow that Mack home so you won't have to buy a $29.95 10x12 tarp to go over the cab. And Rob won't have to share that good meal with you. mike
  20. I know someone that needs another Mack, just in case you cannot keep this one up. And they will treat you to a Lab Dinner with all of the trimmings. We won't call any names to protect the innocent!..... LOL mike
  21. Burrrr, You can keep it out their..... we don't need any here in TN. Do you have any cover for that deserving Mack? Looks as if the window is down. That lets the water out when the snow thaws. LOL When I first got my Mack, I was asked if I noticed if the windshield leaked. I thought to myself how did they know? They told me all of the B Model Macks leaked. That was comforting. mike
  22. Would someone PLEASE!!!! restore me........PLEEEEEESE!!!!!!!! mike
