  1. Oh yeah, I'm very interested. I bet you have much more diagrams in your books that would be interesting to me. But maybe you could post them in http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/19052-mack-rw-superliner-scale-model/ - my model thread to avoid cluttering up Vinny's thread with non-U-Model-related stuff Thanks a lot in advance, have a nice day Paweł
  2. Hey Vinny - congratulations, ain't that a good feeling? Could you please photograph the underside of the cab for me? I think I could use it for my model, and such photos are extremely hard to find on the internet. Thanks in advance, good luck with your project Paweł
  3. You're welcome, Vinny. I figure all jokes and no info gets annoying pretty soon. Have a nice day Paweł
  4. Yeah, a tranny - that's what people used to say here, until a wife of a certain member (another funny word!) told him it's too ambiguous (having more than one meaning) Anyhow, as for the paint type - I don't think it has to be heat - resistant. About the only parts that get a lot hotter than boiling water are the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger, and you ain't going to paint them anyway. But I'd say the paint should be, to some degree, oil resistant - chack that with the paints dealer. Good luck with your project, have a nice day Paweł
  5. I wish I had something like that for a Superliner. The diagram for the B Model has lots of differences compared to the one from Bendix - they differ by decades, and besides, Mack always likes to do things a little different! Have a nice day Paweł
  6. How about some pictures, gennulman? Photos of this part of a truck are very hard to find on the internet. Thanks in advance, have a nice day Paweł
  7. It sure is an interesting vehicle... I read an article about it in a Polish newspaper, when they were brand new and ordered by New York City. Have a nice day Paweł
  8. Cool project! Some beautiful day I'll learn how to weld, too! Now I'm learning how to use a lathe, that's fun! Good luck with your project, and have a nice day Paweł
  9. Thanks a lot for the pictures, Vlad! You're a real help here. I know what you mean about the rear suspension. What I have in my model is actually very heavy - it's a 55,000lbs suspension, that normally wasn't put on a Superliner (more standard was the 44,000lbs suspension). But I took the data from an official Mack catalog, so let's say it's a special order - I'm not going to change that, it would take me too far back with the build. But thanks again for your observation - I gave that a lot of thought before, too. Thanks again, have a nice weekend Paweł
  10. Vlad, thanks a lot for your help - the photos are very interesting and I can use them as a reference for my model. I already strated the plumbing, so far I have this: Still a lot to do, so if anybody would like to help me - have any hints or see anythinng not OK, please let me know. Thanks a lot in advance, have a nice day Paweł
  11. Phil - beautiful photos. I'm building a scale model of a Superliner I and I was looking for radiator details for a really long time, and voilla! the're here! Thanks a lot, have a nice day Paweł
  12. Well, OK - that's not so easy to find. Best thing I got was some Mack diagram for "Straight truck except CL/CH models", lots of photos of cutoffs and some air brake manuals from WABCO, Bendix and Canadian DOT... So I'm still not sure what to do (I want to show accurate brake lines in a scale model). Could any of you post pictures of the air brake hardware (for example relay valves on the rears) of a Superliner I? Or maybe answer this question: When the anti-locking brakes started to show up on Mack trucks? How likely is it to see such brakes on a Superliner I? Thanks in advance for any help here, I really need some to move on. Have a nice day Paweł
  13. Hello! It's fascinating to look at a worki in progress like this. Could you be so kind as to post a photo of the UNDERSIDE of the cab? It's a view so rarely seen in the photos. Thanks in advance and good luck with your project Paweł
  14. And I believe there's also a big difference if it's Superliner I or Superliner II. Since you said MH, I suppose you need a Superliner II part, don't you? I just know finding good photos of a Superliner I radiator (as a reference for my scale model) was really hard! So I wish you good luck finding the part itself, it will probably be even harder. Have a nice day Paweł
  15. Volvo, Mercedes and Cummins would probably like it a lot, if international was "forced from the marketplace". Lots of new customers! Or they would probably also gladly pay similar fines instead of developing new, "ecological" engines. I wonder how "green" those new truck engines have to be in the USA, in Europe (where Mercedes and Volvo come from) they already have to sell pretty "green" engines - they all use the "AdBlue" system to reduce the nitrogen-oxides in the exhaust, because everybody agrees here in Europe, that EGR is crap, only marginally practical in cars, but sure not in trucks. Have a nice day Paweł
  16. Dear Rob, here's where I don't get it - Hitler (how come you brought this name into conversation) tried to destroy certain/most ethnical groups, was killing people who were mental, homosexual, communist (but not socialist - he was a national socialist himself). Our countries - your and mine - fought Hitler, defeated him, ans so what's wrong with doing things exactly the opposite way - we let people who are mentally ill live (we even pay their bills!), we're not so interested who is sleeping with who, if somebody want to be a communist, he or she won't be killed for it neither - it only seems natural in countries who fought Hitler. I would expect more anger from you in case of the smoking bans (Hitler and his regime strongly discouraged smoking - he wanted to have the fittest soldiers around). Dang, where's a will there's a way - if you don't want to call it gay marriage, call it a civil union, why does it bother us so badly? I don't have a problem with that, I'm sure whatever they do it won't make me gay anyhow so what's the big deal? Like bullhusk wrote live and let live. Have a nice day Paweł
  17. Hello Everybody! I need a diagram showing the airlines/brake system on a Superliner I tractor. Could anybody post that for me? Or maybe direct me somwhere I could find it? Thanks in advance, have a nice day Paweł
  18. Now you guys really have sensitive innards! I thought US truckers are supposed to be tough! Nobody can tell you to like what you see, but that's no reason to spoil perfectly good food! Now toughen up and have a nice day anyhow Paweł
  19. Nice! I'm building a scale model of a Superliner I, hope to get it looking something like your '85. What engine does it have? Have a nice day Paweł
  20. Funny, those sleepr cabs remind me of a row of portable toilets, huh, huh... But it's easy to have fun criticising - somebody put a lot of work in it. Granted, a work that could be put to better use elsewhere, but the same thing could be said about our writing here Keep it up, have a nice day Paweł
  21. Thanks Trey - if it's correct, I'll leave the CB where it is! Good info, thnks again and have a nice day Paweł
  22. Thanks, Vinny! That's not really such a big deal - like my parachute instructor used to say, after ten thousands of times it's easy . It comes with practice. Say, is that CB radio location OK? I still have the option to change it, in case. Thanks again, have a nice day Paweł
  23. Hello again! Today I worked some on the cab interior. First I installed the glass: Then the roof liner was installed. Please note the CB radio - is that a correct location? Then I went on with the lights. Here's how they look installed: Thanks for reading, have a nice day Paweł
  24. Well OK - still not sure where I'll put the air dryer on my model - but I did a pair of nice toolboxes. I think I'm going to mount them just before the quarter fenders: Thanks for looking, have a nice day Paweł
  25. Look Vinny, he said tranny! Sorry bobcotkg, we had this discussion going on in another thread... Good luck with your business Paweł
