  5. Excellent I almost bought a 62 around 15 years ago ....of course it wasn’t as clean as that .. but it was pretty clean ...and yes their way cool .. but just about extinct now used to see a lot of them in the 80s... bob

  7. I remember seeing a couple B model dump trucks around Los Angeles in the 80s with fiberglass nose.... I thought it was a fabulous idea for working on them ...of course I’m sure most of us,,, would prefer steel nose

  9. Yes after thinking it over I will come to the conclusion there’s nothing wrong with it at all except for manual steering..... Kenworth cabover what is the hardest one I can ever remember couldn’t move the steering wheel at all if the truck wasnt rolling a little bit

  11. But then after thinking it over I Have driven them all Peterbilt Kenworth Mack white REO international GMC freightliner Volvo white... ford all without power steering and yes they are a lot tougher in town ,,, bob
  12. I bought a five and a four Out of a B model years ago I’m still Not sure if it’s going to fit or what the top and is going to be not really concerned since probably not going to be going to far with it anyway but tall gears are always nice ... bob
  13. Thought I heard somebody say a while back it’ll have a.o at the end Of serial number I have a manual if nobody else answers I will go get it definitely helps to have long legs... bob

  18. oh i gotcha,,,i hadda R model,and a F model...both armstrong,,,,dont remember having much trouble with either one,,,,but yes power steering is quite a pleasure.....my DM has it ,steers like a dream.....sounds to me you should make that your next project...bob
  19. Probably a dumb remark but you might try jacking up the wheels and greasing king pins it shouldn’t steer that hard even without power steering
