  2. Let it sit overnite and then pull the oil drain plug,( just loosen enought to let some oil out) if there is a decent amount of coolant in there the coolant will come out first. Ron
  3. That is nice!!!!, i would like to hear that girl run. wander if the old twin turboed 864s sounds like the 865-866 single turbo. Ron
  4. This will be the last year i drive my truck to Macungie unless the price of fuel goes down, just about too high to drive a pickup truck out there. i will go to Wolcott,IA, and keep it in Indiana. Ron

  6. .040 under mains & rods? .020 under scares the hell out of me. i hope is not a Maxidyne. Ron
  7. You dont want to go to AutoZone for engine parts. you need to look to see what engine you have first ( 685 237 or 686 285-300) the engine # is in front of the fuel pump on the top rounded pad stamped in the block. how do you know the injectors are bad! will it start, if you need injectors it is cheaper to take them out and take them to a diesel injection shop to install new injector tips no need to buy the whole thing, theres was some for sale on this site not too long ago. good luck getting the old ones out, antiseze them when you put them back in. Ron
  8. Hi Mike, i have a 72 (steel dash) that i painted in side slate gray, lnstalled blue Superliner interior in back in 85, man that thing was god looking. wish you could still buy all the stuff now. Ron
  9. It should be screwed into #71 it is a pufflimiter, someone might have taken it off or it never came with one. are you sure you govoner is not woreout. Ron

  11. Looks like the headlite panels are too long to be a western hood. Ron
  12. There is a little air cylinder on the front of the pump take it out and slip a long bolt i think 1/4" in the hole and tap on in, soak it good with blaster. if it has only 2 or 3 barrels stuck you should free it up easy, maybe you wont have to take the pump off. Ron
  13. I forgot to ask what part if Indiana are you from. Ron
  14. Have you had it running lately or has it been sitting for a few years, if it has the rack is stuck you going to have to take the side cover off and spray PB blaster on the barrels and work them back & forth untill they loosen up. if it wont start dont try any more until you get it free up, it will run wide open and damage your engine. did you disconnect the shutoff cable to see if you can move it. Ron
  15. It is just the hood, didnt get a closeup of the hood but the guy said it was a U model. i just want the hood scoop. Ron
  16. Did the early U models with the 285-300 have a hood scoop like the R models, today i saw a U model hood with a hood scoop didnt know if it was factory. trying to talk the guy out of it. Ron
  17. Rob when they came out with low sulfer fuel it seems like the older cummins were the worst for the O rings in the pump going bad, that fuel ate them up. every time i fill up i put Howes in my B61 just in case. there should be a little tag on top of the fuel pump around the tach drive that had the model number like (NTC- 350). Ron
  18. Happy birthday Morgan Ron
