  1. Leversole I thought they looked familiar. That would be DeNaples Yard. I was dumping millings up on top there a few weeks ago. I saw a lot of restorable trucks get crushed there. A truck restorer on another site was looking for a White Corporate Cab they had a very good one he called and already was crushed. Joe D.
  2. The B-Models look like the ones that were at auction in Scranton,Pa. in June. I wanted to go but Auction was same day as Macungie. Joe D.
  3. Ernie the 6-110 GMC Diesel was put in 1950'S GMC 900 series. PIE ran some. There was an article in Wheels of Time a few years ago about them. Joe D.
  4. Unless the polarity was changed from positive to negative ground it would have come from factory positive ground. It most likely has a series parallel switch also unless it was changed to 12 volt starting. Like others said jump on it and scrap trailer to recoup your initial investment. Joe D.
  5. Nice find. 5th wheel after looking at picture it explains your comment of low wires. LOL. Joe D.
  6. The B-66 had a gasengine EN 464B 185 HP at 2800 RPM 380LBS. of torque.I guess a little rare as there were only 177 madebetween 1958 and 1965. Joe D.
  7. Bob Being in Nevada there are not many if any trucks with Dayton Wheels. It seems most everywhere Uni-Mount Wheels are the norm nowadays.Better than Budds with only 10 nuts instead of 20 on Budds left and right thread. Joe D.
  8. Ernie I did buy the 758 Brockway late last winter. It does have the correct original Huskie mirrors on it. The Huskies are pointing in on both mirrors. Truck has low miles 18,000=-. Cab is very good no rust but interior was trashed and needs replacement. We did come to an agreement on a fair price to both of us. I think you know the owner him and his Wife are nice people. I like the long nose 300 series also,I have a 361 single axle 250 Cummins 5x4 2 stick single axle. It has Budd Wheels which i do not care for on a Brockway. When you buy used you take whats offered. Joe D.
  9. Paul The R and U-Model cabs were 3" wider behind the door than the regulat cabs. The 700 series Brockways that used the same cab had an option of ordering plus 3" cab or standard cab. I have a q1975 Brockway N-758 that does not have the plus 3" cab. I wish it did as it gives more room for heavier drivers. Joe D.
  10. Hello I have email address of quadbox. Someone other than me has been sending emails with my name. I got a bunch of emails that said returned. I never sent emails to anyone on this board for the last few weeks. Sorry for any trouble but I had nothing to do with it. Joe D.
  11. Ernie Looks good. The 12 Banger should be a hit. Even though the new trucks have more power they cannot replace class. Joe D.
  12. Mike Did you find a source for parts for the Lanova? What size is it? I have a END 510 Diesel in a Mack A-51 T. I have been looking for parts for years not much out there i have found. Thanks Joe D.
  13. I plan on to take my 361 Brockway Plow Truck. It will have to go on trailer as it has 6.38 rear ratio.Even with overdrive in main and aux. it is hard to get 59MPH. I have been to several ATHS National Shows and all were very good. Joe D.
  14. The Model on the Brockway was Joyce Mandel. She became somewhat of a XXX Movie Star. This according to post on Brockway Site. The bolt probably came from the one that holds back of fender on. Front is hinged for a swingout fender. Probably not as important as first part of my post. Joe D.
  15. Rob I live in Lake Ariel, Penna. it is off !-84 near Scranton. If you need help or want to stop give me a call cell#570-954-3319. Work is sporatic now so I should be avaible until 24 Jan. we are going on cruie. We run apportioned plates on our trucks with few problems unless we get stopped by a real Barney Fife. I have some old trucks with penna. Antique plates and have never been bothered so far. I ran them in New York and New Jersey with no problems.Penna. and New Jersey are fairly liberal with Antique plates. I go to Macungie every year and do not hear horror stories. Not to say it cannot happen. If you need tools or break down or need to park trailer I have room at my garage if no snow. Good Luck on your trip. When are you going? Joe D.
  16. Rob If you run in other states you need to have apportioned plates or run temporary permits for states ran into. That is the reasoning for apportioned plates. Once you get used to paperwork for IFTA and apportioned plates it is not bad.Does Iowa and Indiana recognize a straight Illinois plate? Joe D.
  17. Rob I just read your other post about buying a trailer. About everything I said pertained to Commercial use not Antique Plates. Good luck and it looks like nice trailer with hydraulic ramps. Joe D.
  18. Other dog the White 3000 was on Ebay 2 times that I saw it. It did not make reserve either time. I think it said Cummins C-180 powered. Joe D.
  19. Rob If you register your combination for under 55,000 gross I think there is no HUT. You will need medical card and drug test.IFTA is not really a big problem if you buy fuel and file on time it is only $5.00.Buying fuel permits individually gets expensive.Federal DOT # is easy to get also go to a Federal Building or online.Filling out logbook properly is a must also.If you are going to use truck it is easier to do it legally. I did it both ways and now try to be legal. Joe D.
  20. Randy I am sorry to hear of your loss. I believe we do have the best and strongest Military in the world.I just hope the Liberals do not destroy it. Joe D.
  21. Deere Mack I run a tri-axle dump every day. If your truck is set up with long double frame 18,000 lb. front axle and at least 44,000 lb. rear with ratio of 4.30 or lower, double box PS or at least ram on right side, trans with 14.00 + low gear. There are some other dump specs but this is basic if doing off road work or site work. If hauling stock or asphalt you can get away with lighter specs. but it shows up eventually in worn suspension or blown rears. I see you are from Alabama and they have a high GVW for tri-axles so think twice about light specs. Factory tri-axle dumps are fairly reasonable now with construction off there is a glut of them in most areas. Joe D.
  22. Cheech147. I see you are from Scranton. I am from lake Ariel near you. What name do you use for your excavating company? i run a Maroon western Star Tri-axle Dump for Slusser Bros. Pennsy Supply. It has Ditchkus Trucking on door. We have a good local Chapter of ATCA in Scranton meets at L.A. lewis Warehouse every 2 months, also we started a new Chaptwer of ATHS meets in Honesdale almost every month. If you are interested about coming to a meeting let me know on this board? Joe Ditchkus.
  23. The small V-9 Cummins have a reputation for not being the most reliable engine in its class. The trans is a Spicer with a low-gear of maybe 9.00 to 1 it would not have a first gear of 39.00 to one.Even if you put a auxiliary trans. brehind it with a deep first gear the reduction would be approximately 18.00 to 1 which is a low first gear. Joe D.
  24. Jeff I have a A-51T it has the Mack 510 Diesel certainly hard to find parts for the 510 Dieasel. On your question of the 10 speed mono-shift the one in my A-51T. It has an overdrive ratio of 0.79 and a first gear of9.30 according to a sales brochure. Joe D.
