  1. My truck was a1998 CL700.We had 100 ton on the girl and she would just walk away with it.
  2. I brought one of the last mechanical V8 motors that Mack made.My mechanic at the time was an ex Mack mechanic. We had that pump turned up to the limit. It smoked like a locomotive but did she pull. That was the sweetest sound I have ever heard.
  3. Tks for the hours of operations.Should I ask for anyone special?
  4. I can remember dad going out to the local farmer where ever our jobs were at,and buying the whole cow and having the farmer butcher it up.
  5. I hope to get out there in the next couple of weeks. My wife has a sister out that way that lost her husband and the wife like to visit her as much as she can.
  6. You are doing a great job Vlad.Your attention to detail is fabulous.Hope my b87 turns out as good.
  7. Why don’t you just tag it as it is now,get the antique plate then make the change?
  8. I have a 79 r model that I got antique tags on it.I did have to supply pen dot with 4 pictures showing all 4 sides with the windows up.It was refused at first, there reason was that it looked to dirty,so I gave it a quickie paint job. Then it was no problem.I do use gulfway for insurance,I can pull a trailer. The best part of having antique plates is you don’t need to have the truck inspected or you don’t need a cdl to drive.
  9. Would make a great rev for me and the wife.
  10. I would like a radiator shell.
  11. I have a 1979 r model and I m the original owner. My dad brought 20 of them along with 10 u models,15 dm600 triaxles, all at once. The specs of the r models were 169 WBA’s,endt676-300 series 285 hp,trxl107 low hold 5 speed,12,000 front,38,000 rear,4.17 rear ratio. When it was new it pulled a dump trailer and it was never loaded less then 80,000-90,000,except on Saturday when it was loaded at 90,000-100,000 or more. The point I am making is that we never had a problem with these trucks, carrying that weight.I think that it was in the trans with the low hold.We also used them to pull the lowboys. The most we would load them with were cat d8’s.
  12. I do remember the Mercedes and the f model.
  13. Randy, the truck I remember would have been in the early 70’s.
  14. Mike Durkin.
  15. Randy,it was a rainy night I was coming down Huntington pike and rear ended your mom.Your mom called your dad and we exchange info and went about our merry way.Your dad and my dad talked down at Chuck’s and settle the whole thing.I think your mom was driving a ford station wagon. If my memory serves me right I ended up paying something like $100.00 to have your moms car fixed. On another subject wouldn’t you like to have your dads old Mack he would park at Chucks.
  16. Randy,I met both of your parents by accident, and I mean by an accident. It was my fault, your mom was very quiet and your dad was a true gentleman.I watched my dad go down that same road.My prayers are with you and your family.
  17. Our old equipment shop where we would bring in d9 dozers and twin engine scrapers that weighed 100,000 had a foot thick slab and we never had a problem, matter a fact it was poured in 1963 and it still hasn’t been replaced.
  18. I would drive it all day and everyday.
  19. Happy New Years to all,May this year be better then the last.
  20. The only way I won’t be voting for Trump again,is if he says he slept with Nancy Pelosi.
  21. Same to you,and the nicest group.
