  1. You're actually in my territory. If you need any parts ordered, let me know.
  2. They're available now, there's not a lot in the system, but they're available.
  3. Being born in the late 90's gives me a unique perspective on media of the time, especially considering we weren't exactly rich growing up. I had a lot of kids books similar to the modern example above, and I also had several like the older book up there. Being into big trucks and construction equipment growing up gave me plenty of opportunities to read books with very detailed info that went over my head, until it didn't lol. The huge difference in media between even my generation and the newest is the intent. 99% of modern child entertainment is created solely to grab and hold their attention to generate revenue, with most of the left-adjacent messages existing only because that brings even more revenue through kickbacks and such. The only good kids' show I know of is Bluey, but I only know what friends and family have told me about it, I don't have kids. As a kid, my shows were made to either teach lessons or skills like simple problem solving, or because the creators had a vision they wanted to share. Corporate greed has killed creativity, and in its stead we have the garbage that is the modern entertainment industry.
  4. PAI EKY-3179OEM, Mack OEM 20706394. The Mack might end up being cheaper depending on your dealer.
  5. I used a 2001 ETECH 460 as a reference, and found a cam kit on PAI #ECK-9009E.
  6. I haven't seen a truck so far with #1 injection line being different from the others, normally all are the same part number. Of course, there could be an outlier, but one being different doesn't sound normal. Did a previous owner only replace one or something?
  7. Your truck is an EPA04 model, no DPF. 07 would have one.
  8. I can't look the truck up using the serial, the last 6 of the VIN would let me find out for you though.
  9. cruiseliner, I don't know how I didn't see this post before, hopefully you've been able to find them since August! Manwithaplan is right, those numbers you gave us cross to the Napa 3218 and 3219 respectively.

    Regen

I doubt the AHI nozzle/7th injector is clogged if the regen went that far before failing, and there's just so many reasons as to why. The PM sensor could be faulting, DPF differential pressure sensor, the DPF itself might be too far gone, there's no telling without being able to diag the truck itself. It's complicated, which is the biggest downfall of the emissions system; it keeps owners from repairing their own truck more often than not, and makes the dealerships and OEM a LOT of money while they throw parts at it because none of their techs are properly equipped and trained to do anything else. Not like their managers would let them spend extra time to diag properly, Volvo Uptime is all about speed you know!

    2006 CV713

For some reason I think I remember a 2006 in our shop with an MP7, but I can't find it in our case history...
  12. I don't know a way offhand to look up with just the serial number, but Im asking around to see if someone with more experience knows. What I could do is start an eService case with the VIN of the truck and give them the numbers you listed here, I'm sure something will give them enough info to tell me.
  13. I think he was just yanking his friend's chains with the air ride comment, but I see where he's coming from on extending the frame on that truck, it's really short back there to the point he was having some clearance issues with his lowboy trailer. I don't have a problem with him extending the frame a little to make it usable, and I have a feeling he has enough appreciation for old Macks as to not stretch it like those Pavement Princess Peterbilts we share a dislike of.
  14. I'd go with the PAI studs, there's no reason to let Mack bend you over unless you really want the SS studs. I have customers that had good success with the PAI ones.
  15. He mentioned this site in the video too, I started following him around the time I followed his friend Diesel Creek. He's got a pretty cool Superliner II with an E9 he transplanted into it too.
  16. At least it's an option!
  17. 80W90 is what I've been told to use in Maxitorques, so I'd say go with that. I was also told full synthetic 75W90 will work too.
  18. I used a VIN I have saved for a 1994 EM7 300 truck (1991 emissions), and found out that a company called D&W Diesel is the one Mack uses for reman injection pumps, so they might be worth a phone call. The number I see for them is 800-824-0151.
  19. I don't go to many car "meets" or shows anymore for the same reasons. I despise my local car scene, it's full of kids with mommy/daddy money, awful taste, and awful morals. I don't care about your Subaru WRX or your Infinity G35, I'm here for the 1969 Mustang Mach 1 over there and the Chevy C10's, you know the real cars? I've been blessed that any truck show I've been to so far has been amazing. Speaking of, I need to post some pictures of the recent show I went to months ago now...
  20. The 3412 is a beast of an engine for that Bulldog! Shame it's in pieces, I'd love some videos of that beast running. It's like the American equivalent to the last Pacific truck ever made, a P12W3 with a 3412 Cat, built in the parts warehouse. Some interesting videos of the truck being tested after completion on Youtube.
  21. Never heard the nickname before, but here's a picture:
  22. I helped put a quote together for ONE charger install, and it was mind boggling how expensive it was. Add on the fact that the EV truck has an incredibly short range, and it ends up making no sense to have one. I remember attending a class where one of the Paccar developers working on the EV program told everyone that none of the EV designs would have a great range, it's just not feasible yet.
  23. The only cabovers Mack offers are the LR and Terrapro (TE). The LR is exclusively meant for refuse work, with dual steering wheels and a low enough cab that stepping into the truck is easy and safer. The TE is predominately used in trash trucks around here, but it's designed to be tougher to accommodate vocational use like concrete pumping. They also make the electric LR, but we all know how that's been going.
  24. Sometimes I need a bit of correction, especially when my mind is outrunning itself. Happens a lot with how the front counter is...
  25. I misread that part of the post, I just had a customer ask about the door tags and my mind was stuck on that! Yes, for the frame tags he can just get the decals separately, we usually have most of them in stock.
