  1. About the only place you can listen to "traditional" country is Sirius/XM. I have Sirius in all my vehicles. I HATE listening to "free" radio stations. I will not even turn the regular radio on if I don't have satellite. My one complaint with Sirious/XM is the jockeys. Just play music!!! I don't need you talking over the song intros or your other BS. Give me the money you pay these jokers. JUST PLAY THE DANG MUSIC!!! George, Waylon, Merle, Porter, Tammy, Patsy, and others....great country music. Do you remember when George had his hair cut in a flat top? Tammy is the one who suggested he let it grow.
  2. Mack did not have enough funds to "upgrade" their E7 so they definitely would not had funds to "upgrade" the V8. If not for Volvo (or some other company), Mack would likely not be in business today. Like it or not! I am not sure where "certain" people work but "if you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen" and "don't bite the hand that feeds you."
  3. Great news Vinny...spring has arrived in NY. I need to get my MH out of winter hibernation too.
  4. George was one of the best traditional C&W artists. Surprised at his death. Tammy preceeded him many years ago. She was a "hottie" in the day. RIP George.
  5. Hat! You grew a beard. Isn't it a little warm in FL to be growing a beard...or can't you afford a razor? Sorry for hijaking the thread.
  6. The reason the turbos look big is because of the water jacket housing. They are water cooled. The actual turbo is similar in size to one on a truck engine. And you thought I was going to talk about the big Ts on the teacher. BTW, the TK ladies are "pale" in comparison to Hooters. Just sayin'. Interesting pics tho. Any info on the fire truck loosing the rear axle?
  7. Welcome to BMT. Nice Mack...restore to original. Quad headlights seem odd to us in USA.
  8. Very nice pics. The snow covered mountain is impressive. Thanks!
  9. Nice pics. Omelette looks GREAT! Now I am hungry.
  10. Mike Now that the weather is nice I am going to drive to Huntington and try to get some updated pics.
  11. Congrats JT!!!! Hope all goes well for the pickup and drive home.
  12. Not so fast...how about a MH!
  13. Chillicothe, OH....south of Columbus.
  14. If several BMT members are going to be intown on Thursday, I may change plans to arrive then. Perhaps we can "congregate" at a local establishment on Thursday afternoon/evening.
  15. I do not buy parts from the dealer so that is not an issue. But they are definitely on the "do not patronize" list.
  16. Ron, Thanks for the support. My money is on "export". The Mack salesman was not happy that I bought one of the MHs. The path to the MH was thru my contacts at Mack HQ.
  17. Martin's Pastry owned five 1995 CH612 with low rise sleepers. Powertrain is the same as my MH = EM7-300 and T2050. When I bought my current MH, I asked Martin's and the Mack dealer to contact me when the CHs would be traded. Yesterday I sent a note to the Mack dealer and I received a reply....GONE!!! I replied asking if they were exported or what happened to them. I will let you know if I get any info. So much for getting a heads up on purchasing another truck from Martin's. I will end this note before I go into a "rant".
  18. I owned 2 Mustang 5.0L Pace Cars that I bought new. I run the livin daylights out of them. Owned several more (all V8s) in later years (all were bought new). My last Mustaing was a 98 GT 4.6L that I bought used and sold before I bought my MH. Fun little cars! Paul - where in OH did you buy the SVO?
  19. Likely Barry or Tracy. Both great people! TMI only sells thru a dealer if I remember correctly.
  20. Be at Watt's tent at noon on Saturday and you will get to meet some of us. Also DCR is having a get-together at his motorhome. I mentioned name tags to Barry. A few on BMT were against that idea because of "witness protection".
  21. I still use my rusty but trusty Motorola flip phone with roman numerals. I only turn it on to make calls (no long distance service on home land line) or if I am expecting a call. I have voice mail so if someone calls when it is turned off...leave a message. When I had a J-O-B, I had a Crackberry. It was nice to use it for internet. It was also connnected to my email which I HATED. I normally received in excess of 50 emails a day. I gave it up when I retired and do not miss it 99% of the time. I use a cell phone to talk, digital camera for pics/videos, computer for internet, iPod for music, and Garman for GPS. Nuff said.
  22. Yeppers!
  23. Very nice and interesting pics. Keep them coming. I remember some of the vehicles (I told you I was an old fart). I wonder if Roy Rogers wore his hat when he paced the race? Also, did Ford cut-up those cars that were involved in the wreck?
