    thats one that i have ZERO knowledge of. I know a tip turbin when I see one, but have never pulled one apart... maybe someday, who knows.. I did get a call today from a past customer.. he wants me to show him how to re-build an E-7 .. I just have to buy the cam bushing driver head, otherwise I have all the tools I need. I have built 5 engines for him and have one in my shop here that is his dad's, so I guess I have mre work in the future..

    I made a lifting bar that lets me pull both heads at the same time. It is fine if the intake is a 2 peice the water manifold is anyway. Those typically had leaking exhaust gaskets, so it wasnt a big deal and it saves time. once on the bench, I will pull manifolds as needed and prep them, put intake and water manifold on with new gaskets and hoses, set the heads back on and do the line up with a straight edge then the exh manifolds.. ...

    is the outboard intake valve 'High' compared to the others? was the engine pushing coolant recently? was a valve adjustment done shortly before this happened? did the driver overspeed the engine?

    the lash on the Jake piston is .017'' but if you have the 215SB321 kit installed you can set the lash to .021... When I worked at Maine Mack in Portland, I bet I did 50+ updates. does yours have the top oil feed update ?

    you are not missing anything for the bore in the jake head.. the spring check ball and rings was deleted.. you are fine !!

    can you double nut the stud and back it out? the studs are set hand tight then back a half turn, so i suspect rust in the head bore. I have extra nuts and studs if you damage them.. jojo

    there is a sensor in the large pipe coming off the air cleaner housing, check it too and the wires, also the ambiant sensor is clipped to the radiator at the lower left corner

    Oh Gosh Hippy, I almost got into a fight here in central N.C. over clam strips and that I have never eaten anything so good.. I laughed in my natural way, and pissed off my buddy. You know,,,, I am a Yankee. I said something about little necks and he got madder, then my order for raw oysters showed up, and it was a small bowl of oyster meat that was poured out of the tub, not even rinsed, just sitting there like a soup.. anyway..... Rubber Duck's meal looked pretty good..

    the green range is RIGHT !!.. just do the basics for P.M. reasons.. Its a CH.. put a tall stand under the bulldog with the hood ope, release the 2 spring loaded helpers, and they hood lock, if it is still there, that will give you some extra room. 1 bolt on the bottom of each corner of the CAC, and 1 bolt on each side. then the boots, just lean it back, and wash it all out.. no need to remove it.. unless you have another plan for it.. be aware of the white nylon washers, you need to put them back in. if they are gone you can use rubber to make new ones or some other sheet of nylon stock, they do sell the CAC mount kit as well..
