  1. Just for kick's... unplug the EECU plugs and see if there is engine oil inside the sockets on the EECU... Do you have a list of codes? if so , post them... Cups and injectors is highly possible.. when the DPF was cleaned, was a forced re-gen done using PTT or equivalent, along with a soot level re-set and a 'learn data reset'?? how about an EECU software update?.. just curious, wouldnt the engine be an MP-8 in a CXU?? no biggie, just curious... I guess its an '09,, no DEF,,, jojo
  2. yeah, i remember when this fruitcake came into power this year... I felt like puking.. Still do... Its like we are becoming a freak nation... jojo

  4. Hello 'Q'.. welcome aboard.. You commented on an old posting. How about telling us the year and model, engine, tranny and the issue you are having? You wont believe how many smart guys are ready to help you.. jojo
  5. That is awesome.. I'm so glad it was a simple fix.. I feel like most of the time, the cause is something simple.. It was good of you to post the fix. I bet it ''Purr's like a Dog'' now... jojo
  6. I just made a repair on a T-310, with the same issue.. I pulled the range fork out and found it had worn tip's,, but really not the worst iv'e seen,, i re-ringed the piston and cylinder and replaced the fork $600.00 for the fork.... (Through MACK) Why ???..... I test drove the truck, it range shifted correctly.. Look at PAI for the parts... Do you have a tranny re-builder in your area that will sell the part's? I use "Overdrive Rebuilder's" In Concord N.C. when ever I can... jojo
  7. Happy Birthday Sir... jojo

  9. is it freezing up because it is not draining the condensation, and then the thermostat in the evap. core is shutting it down? also, are any of the control knobs sloppy, or worn out? jojo
  10. Liz Cheney.... 2024's version of Hillary Clinton... Yippie!!!!! one more (Deplorable) disposable candidate.. 👍 jojo
  11. The Delco 308 39MT 11 tooth starter, is a good alternative. Lighter, and less amp draw.. Typically not rebuildable in some ways, because there is no nose bearing.. I do know that the little relay can fail, but they run about $30.00, and is easy to replace, just keep tabs on the polarity.. I like them.. I try to get my customers to use them instead of the 42 MT.. Of course, the 42 MT and the 50 MT are great starter's.. Just my opinion.. jojo
  12. How 'bout I just read what you post, and soak up the knowledge?? I like these post's because guy's like you teach me something, that will pop into my head later, when I'm on the job.. jojo

  14. "F' I am not smart on the E-6.. but I wanted your opinion about the endplay screws/button's, in the front cover. is it possible that the cam is walking, and causing a different sound? I have one in my shop, and I expect to get back to it and get it done this year, I have the book on setting the endplay,, but was curious about noise, after reading this post.. jojo
  15. To Me.... it is simple.. Yes many countries have their tyrannical govt. But I am an AMERICAN,, I care about our country first, and if we can help other's,, Great.. Hell yeah, help them... But My issue is simple,,,, Our current govt. is doing the best they can to destroy our great country, starting with trying to break the spirit of us,,, The Workers.., and Tell me that because I'm White, I'm the problem, but be right there to take 35% out of my earning's to give it to a D'Bag, that is too sorry to get a job, and because I don't look like him, I have to pay his rent/ food bill/ and every other thing... Really??? 2024, can't come fast enough... God Almighty, I get so pissed off!!! Sorry guy's,,, I know I vent on this thread, please forgive me, jojo
  16. Amen MACKS.. and the throw away money for the Slackers right here in the U.S.A. and don't forget all the freebie's for those that 'WALK' into our southern border, and get 'EVERYTHING THEY NEED'... jojo
  17. be gentle with the EUP wire screws.. they break easy... 2 turns loose is enough to slide the wire off.. light torque when you put them back on.. 5mm 1/4' drive socket.. good luck bud... jojo
  18. visual inspection.. keep it simple.. too many times guys want to grab the laptop, when there may just be a broken wire... visual inspection..... jojo
  19. Yes Sir!!! 'F'... I leaned towards checking valve lash, just from a maintenance stand point. It's free to do, just some labor, and it is also a form of a 'health check'... Of course, he probably has ceramic lifters, so a PROPER valve adjustment is crucial.. 🤔 jojo
  20. OK... so I read this thread from the beginning.. Here I go... Do you have a Jacobs 690 engine brake or Powerleash? Next, Do you know how to run the valve's PROPERLY! on this engine? Including setting bridge lash? I'm talking 'By the book'.. not the 'Cat' way.. for example... jojo
  21. did you use a gauge to check boost pressure?? or just a laptop? 21 seems low.. I would expect 28-31..
  22. O.D. I feel like you know my wife... I made a donation to BMT today, so maybe I will be able to post a full size picture of my Pipe... jojo
  23. I have several T-300 books,. Which tranny is yours,. T-310/ T-310M? For example... Then I should be able to post the book number.. I also have 2 extra sets of Mack tranny and driveline books to sell. About 15 books per set.. They are the real ones.. you can P.M me if you need more info. Jojo
  24. I would say that the best book you can get right now is the "Maintenance and Lubrication" book.. for your year; the book number is: TS-49406.. If you find this book, will you please let us know? that will help others who are looking as well... jojo
  25. dont jump into replacing EUP's.. remove the chrome heat shields, and see if the EUP wires are chaffed, and rubbing against the engine block.. the insulation does wear, and break off or rub off.. if the wires are exposed, you can use a brush-on wiring protector to cover the worn wire insulation. did you check the condition of the wires at the flywheel sensor? RPM/TDC sensor.. it is also very common that the wires on the engine side of the harness to be weak and even attached by only a few strands of wire. I have also found the pin in the plugs to be broken and barely touching.. since yours is a dump truck, there is a lot of sh!t coming off the left steer tire, and getting on to this wire harness.. Keep in touch...... jojo
