  1. Yep, however, i dont recall seeing an EGR on a 12.7.. (of course I aint seen them all) I have also replaced intake gaskets, and C.A.C.'s, and on occasion, a turbo base gasket.. I like the 12.7.. I put it right up there with the E-7 Mechanical.. jojo
  2. It can work, but it is not as flexible, so directing it around corners or bending may be a small challenge.. I doubt it is passing through a narrow area where the larger diameter is a concern.. jojo
  3. yes its an oil line.. #4 braided line and some buildable fittings, and you can make the hose yourself, and repair it if something damages it in the future.. but you can also take it to a hose shop and get one made. I recommend braided line either way.. jojo
  4. Did it show the procedure to set the run-out on the flywheel housing? I wish I was smarter about E-6's.. I think the seal housing is seperate from the flywheel housing. Which may make it easier to install the new style rear mains.. then you can install the seal housing..... I was wondering if you should check run-out on the flywheel housing first while the crank hub is out in the open, then do the rear main seal.. I wonder what the Dog Pound thinks about that?? jojo
  5. Yes sir Mech. it sure is a lot of money for the tool, if you may not use it again.. The advantage of the tool, is that it can install a wear ring as well as the seal, and set it to the proper depth.. if a wear ring is not needed, I would say you could make a tool to set the seal in nice and straight.. Jojo
  6. Here is some info on the seal installer.. I have several tools from this company.. Monaco tools.com,,, tool #50112-A.... $595.00.
  7. Forgive me, but is a 675 still an E-6? Like an ENDT 673? If so, I bought a rear main seal tool for both E-7 and E-6, from Tillmantool.com.
  8. One common repair I have made on 12.7 series 60, was the air compressor supply hose that comes from the intake manifold to the air compressor intake..
  9. Yep.. but my dumbass reacted too quick.. I gave them important info.. I guess someone is going to finance a new car with my info... Sure am glad I have the title to my house... I think I'm gonna be 🤢 sick..jojo
  10. I believe the tap we use was 8mm x1.25.... however, 5/16" will work and you get threaded rod and some nuts and washers at any hardware store, and make a puller. It would be good to make a puller that allows you to see the cup move upward.. maybe use a piece of pipe that fits over the hole..
  11. I still havent heard if he is using a 'tap' to cut threads in the cup, or using the knurled tool that grabs the inside of the upper area of the cup.. Tapping threads should do the trick... then use a puller..
  12. So how do we side track the 'Side track' thread?? Hmmm..
