  1. Well, you really need to pull the gear sets out. There will be chunks laying in the bottom. Where did the shaft snap? Did you drive a long time with it broken? I will post more after you post answers, pics of the axle will help, salvage yard axle just needs to be checked, look for sharp splines..
  2. Check fuse 40 in the fuse box on the fire wall, top center below the wind sheilds . EECU fuse, 25 amps, clear in color.
  3. I recently had to buy 4 deck dowels and a long butress bolt.. I spent 30 minutes (Behind the counter) showing the MACK parts guy how to find what I needed.. He was a good guy, just had no training on E-Tech engines.. The last series of MACK engines before the MP series.. It isnt like I was looking for parts for an AC Mack.. a frigging CH... E-Tech Engine By God !!!!
  4. these are the 2 full gasket kit numbers minus head gaskets.. if this is still available, I would consider buying them.. I also posted the 20 bolt head gasket part number. is your's 20 bolt? the head gaskets are the only difference that I know of... I am by no means an END or E-6 guy.. This is just what is in my shop right now.. I know you are not this deep in the engine, just hoping these part numbers are good info for you, Jojo
  5. Shepards typically use 15W40,.. the sector shaft seal is inside the box, if you take it apart, look at the shaft for a groove at the seal area. Hope fully its just a worn seal.
  6. I should know,,,, but i dont. Im weak when it comes to E-6's..
  7. I have and ENDT 673 non-engine brake boat anchor in my parts area. are those cams the same?
  8. Forgive me JoeH,, He can take the side covers off and hold the lifter with small spring clips, like the ones at harbor freight, days ago guys would use cloths pins.. I wish the side covers were used after the E-7..
  9. i meant to say ''if you cant get the oil'' sorry. as far as oil grades, I was shocked when the MP came out and it uses 10W30, I think they use 5W30 now.. Too me, a heavy oil can handke more torque, of course bearing and bushing tolerences matter too. hows the suspension job going?
  10. Just my silly thought here... These so-called efficient earth saving engines since 2007/2010,,, seem to put a lot of broken parts into our dumpsters.. like all the copper and aluminum used to make this junk, then theres the plastic on the parts, like volvo intakes for example.. What a joke,,, and you cant just burn the fuel to move freight, you have to have a system that burns it later at really high temps, and this is ok? anyway, I'm just summing up my silly rant..
  11. yep, 'Normally open' switch is for the foot brake, and 'Normally closed' is for the low air buzzer..
  12. Never, its about filling their bank acct's, not the good of our country..
  13. Just watchin Charlotte news.. They were talking about "Heat Maps".. Must be a Biden Klan thing.. anyway, the young female, ( yes I said it), stated that the hotter areas are those that the underserved community lives in, mainly minorities.. the the person said that it is partly based on the building materials of the homes,,, blah blah blah... So now the Sun is racist. Its people like this that vote for Biden types.. What a waste..
  14. its real oil, I just bought 2 cases, you can also use anti seize if you get the oil
  15. When my wife and I worked together at a Mack service dealer, sometimes she would help me. She has done a couple sets of cam bushings with me, during an in-frame. Then Top Brass said that she cant do that anymore, it makes the other guys look bad.. Oh well, it was kinda cool to have my wife help me..
  16. when I retire, there wont be anyone left that wants to learn how to fix something that might get them dirty, mess their hair and or break a nail... Have you seen todays ''Male's'' ??
  17. The 15 codes is the max limit for that system. It will always have them as long as its deleted, from what i have learned in the shop and here... Volvo has your truck by the Peanuts...
  18. ok, but you may only have the one that you know of, the other is easy to see if its there or not, if you pull a wire off the pedal switch do the lights go out? if you put a new air switch in that is 'Normally Closed' the brake lights will stay on all the time and go out when air pressure comes up to full.
  19. the brake light switch is on the firewall under the hood at the rear valve cover.. It is ''Hot'' all the time, key on or off.. or on the treadle valve.
  20. I guess he could hook a jumper cable to neg. On the batteries and then on the frame.. simple Free test.. tough to diagnose from 600 miles away..
  21. its my bed time,, nite nte Mech and Rubber Duck... jojo
