  1. Thats about right, they went to a bracket attached to the headlight panel that went to the radiator support, instead of having the panel bolted to the shell itself. So all you had was the bolts on top,the one on each side behind the hood latch, and 2 at the bottom that went to a bracket on the shutters. I hope I explained that right . If I could still post pics on this damn site ,there's a nice illustration in one of my older Mack all purpose, m.anuals
  2. Also, there were some changes to the fuel tanks, they opened up in front of the grating in the step, before dirt and water would get trapped and eventually rust it out and cause a leak
  3. They changed how the radiator shell was mounted, made it much easier to take off. Moved the wiper motor from under the dash to outside the firewall Those were 2 improvements I can think of quick
  4. Crying shame if its going to export. Wish they'd line those bastards up and shoot them. A 73 just sold up north of me for 11750,it was pretty good shape, but nothing special. Doors had been replaced, they were green on the inside, drivers seat was junk, missing a battery box lid, they didn't bother to mask off the Bulldogs on the doors, just painted over them. Crazy but I guess it makes my shit worth more.
  5. For some reason I can't post pics on this si/e,I have a hard enough time keeping logged in. It hasn't been right since Barry "improved"it awhile back.
  6. Yeah, not having a nice building is a very big problem to have if you ask me
  7. I've got no use for a mixer,no where to put it inside if I did.
  8. If it was mine,id start in the mid 20s,you've got a damn nice looking truck there that wouldn't take much to finish. Only thing in my opinion that hurts it is the slow gearing.
  9. My 63 B46S has a EN402,it was originally a mixer chassis. They must have been available with different engines
  10. Whoever told you those air cleaners were pre 59 was misinformed.
  11. $500? You better grab it before he sobers up. WS712LST,steel,frame,ETAZ673A 300+ engine,315 hp. Factory twin screw tractor, thats all the info I can give you from that. There was no code for transmission, suspension, or rear ends used
  12. The liked to break clutch pedal springs, too. Most of this is minor shit, if its cheap and runs, buy it.
  13. The set screws in the box on the shift tower would work loose and make the shift lever sloppy, windshields are super hard to find. The plastic dog house cover was notorious for cracking,if its a WL,check the aluminum frame rails for corrosion, especially where it meets the steel front frame section. Rivets in the front left panel commonly broke, make sure the cab hinges have grease zerks, ive seen those seize, im probably forgetting some other things. Any pics, info off vin tag 2ould help too
  14. I've got 2 G radiators out,ill see if either has the same piece.
  15. Those cabs will tilt a full 90 degrees, but id make sure all is working properly before id try it.
  16. When I built my first B,back when I was still in high school, I too wanted budds on the steer, thats when I found out many Mack models used the same hubs. I pulled 3 or four from parted out trucks out back behind my local dealer before I found the right fit, which strangely enough came from an old MB611.
  17. I really didn't think it was Tom's old one,but I hadnt seen it in nearly 30 years. How's he doing, its been 5 or 6 years since I've heard from him.
  18. Pretty hard to answer such a vague question, are you going to look at a restored truck, barn find, work truck, project,??????,different things to look at depending on what you are looking for. Kinda like asking what somethings worth without providing pics
  19. Im glad to hear someone got the cab,I would've got it but couldn't get a ride for both.
