  1. It's Bosch. It's reman. Mike gave me a lecture, no spin-offs. What's your price in Florida?
  2. PAI dealer in town says $659.69 and a return core. Think he lost his mind, or zeal from the fact he actually had one in-stock bled into the price tag? What's yours?
  3. K&S Fuel Injection $300 direct from Bosch, reman, +$175 core. 31 available from PDC overnight.
  4. Dealership $464.43 + $156.25 core. Reman. Available overnight.
  5. One way to find out...… Publish the Mack part number and we'll have a good'ol fashion low-ball bidding war. Winner get's the prize. You want new, reman or used?
  6. Call 586-799-4375 and ask if they still sell the module to eliminate EGR on Mack ASET AC engines. They are shifting gears toward DPF & SCR elimination now, but may still carry the mod. They stocked it two year ago, but I don't see it listed right now. The mod was produced for "Off-road use only" so yeah...… a race track modification .
  7. Then my numbers are good. google “Mack emedia” ...... go to “service information”. The manual is in there, free. Publication 5-106.
  8. It’s all relative to what your converting to and from. Per example you wouldn’t want to deal with converting AMI to AMI.......an AMI300 to an AMI380, whole different cooling package. Otherwise, injectors, software, turbos, cam keyway offsets I’m certain years, etc...
  9. EM7 was 250-275-300 mostly...unless someone finds a 350?
  10. You need to be specific about what year truck you have on tool questions. If It's an E-Tech the cam shoe google Mack J 41682. The hold magnets google J 42425.
  11. Old saying, ”Nature abhors a vacuum”. You cut down a tree something will fill the space in short order. Long as demand is there and it’s legal............?
  12. Add it to the suction side while running. The goal is to not jet liquid into the suction which could cause compressor damage via incompressible liquid. That means adding slowly or out of the gas column of the can.
  13. Thanks Staxx. Think we are getting closer to putting some Mack in our fleet. I need to figure out how I can cross genre to get a truck access and how much $$$ for subscription? I’m assuming Volvo/Mack Trucks makes a customer version similar to Volvo Off-Road.
  14. Your right about Rotella. It gets a lot of credit by vendors, but we proved it to be inferior to Mobil Delvac (AKA- Mack OE Bulldog Oil). When Mack did the P2 bearing recall we were rolling in new shells all day. We only sold 2 kinds of oil at the dealership. Guys who came in regularly for Rotella services had considerably more orange peel displacement than Mobil Delvac 1300 users. None were “failed bearings”, but it was evidence of less film strength. I’d do 15W-50 in mid-summer. Your not going to see any negative payback.
  15. No hardhats, no high vis, no steel tips, no safety glasses, no load tethering, open service pit without a barrier, spraying without respirator and laying under an unsecured suspended load....... how did any survive?
  16. I’m saying get another Mack. If they want you to be happy by giving you a fantastic deal.......take it! You earned it. The law of statistics says you won’t get another lemon. Quote of my Volvo/Mack factory trainer......”Longest lasting engine we sell is an MP8 at the lowest HP increment available”.
  17. Hush money is a hard earned commodity. Trad’er in!
  18. The crane on that CV713 looks like it would have no problem flipping him over. Must be light material?
  19. The rule I was taught is take the recommended viscosity and go one grade skinny in the hardest months of winter and one grade fatter for the middle of summer. Recommended viscosity for the nice days of the year. I've been noticing OE's keep dropping viscosities. Modern oil is good enough to do it.
  20. This is a CL713, W/Slant turbo (flash back to how trucks use to be built for accessibility...…). This is a CT713, no slant.
  21. Do you dealership guys have this identical screen on your latest Tech Tool subscriptions? I’m trying to decide if our off-road Ttool for Volvo has been modified from the truck side or they are running the same format.
  22. The part numbers are one page back...….. Ends are 21090679 (104GC5164M-old number) $284.06, of which you need 2. Center is a 21090730, $203.99 (Both 104GC5165M3 (high temp center) and 104GC5165M (regular application) supersede to same number.... 21090730). If you use PAI the end pieces are EEX-2054 Quantity 2 (ends) EEX-1848 Quantity 1 (center)
  23. Have to be careful which air ride you have for paving, but otherwise they work fine. Had a customer buy a dump truck from us and the salesman spec’d It with a Hendrickson HA Overslung Air Ride suspension. On those they had a cross-tube instead of a member (Like HAS suspension) and the Z-spring sticks out past the wheel. When the paver came up behind to push him along the portion of the Z-Spring that protrudes past the back tire hit the pusher. I ended up having to install a Hendrickson HAS suspension on just the rear axle. Looked ridiculous, but worked.
  24. Electromechanical rack positioning. Electrohydraulic Econovance. Timing sensor.
