  1. i would be more worried about him making a wrong turn looking for a shortcut!!!! 😁
  2. never saw one. but than again, any roads here that have a raised rail grade are also 4 ton max weight.
  3. i have NEVER seen a grade clearance sign at RR crossing in any of my travels.
  4. i hope they pay train the nascar drivers better than their truck drivers!!!
  5. nope. just about every higher end car made in the past 3 years or so have LED headlights. even my explorer has them.
  6. i HATE led headlights, and think they should ne illegal. people give me the but i can see so much better with them. ya know what? it is dark. slow the eff down. my vehicles have 45 MPH headlights on them, and i only drive 40 MPH at night. there is no need to blind everyone on the road just so i can get where i am going 5 minutes faster.
  7. the 2022 tandem was $215,000. the 2022 triaxle was $ 235,000. the 2023 triaxle on order was quoted at $285,000. we sold the 2020 triaxle for $190,000 back in september,$5,000 more than we paid for it. and i used it for 3 1/2 years and put 72,000 miles on it. the reason used truck prices are so high is the current wait time between order and delivery is close to 2 1/2 years. so it is either overpay for a used truck, or take whatever they have on the lot new.
  8. i tell the boss i will not retire until the day after i die. and he is fine with that, he needs someone he can trust.
  9. i only run local the past 13 years Bob. under 200 miles in a 10 hour day. most of the time under 100 miles, and sometimes as little as 50 miles. blah blah blah. so i am knocking on 67's door. the kids still tell me i am older than dinosaur poop.
  10. micky mouse!!!
  11. about 5 years ago i tried figuring out how many miles i logged and and gave up 3.5 million just on trucks i have drove. that was not counting car miles either. probably have close to half a million on cars too. i started driving at 13 with a 49 International L190 single axle tractor on the farm pulling hay from fields to the barn. by 14 i was delivering grain to the co-op 25 miles away with the same truck and a dump trailer. i have been pushing trucks down the road for 53 years now.
  12. donny did not steal little tommys lunch money...... he paid little suzy to look up her skirt!!!
  13. i have to agree with the others, that looks like the person who replaced trans may have stripped a few bolts.
  14. wow!! nice truck!
  15. maybe they will be Paul, but my bet it we will not see that happening within the next 15-20 years.
  16. Remember class racing before they tried leveling the field with bracket racing Larry?
  17. But but but the greenees and goobermint said this was the "new thing" ! 😜
  18. my experience is if i am going out with the low boy i pretrip looking for trouble spots and plan alternate routes. then pre trip them too. but that goes back to when i ran the escort service. if anything happened, it was on ME not the driver, because i planned the trip route.
  19. i stopped watching after they started leveling the playing field with all cars need to be the same, ,and yellow flag third to last lap to put everyone back in a pack for last two laps. which was also when all the REAL drivers retired. that was around 20 years or so ago.
  20. i thought he raised debt by 1.7 trillion in his first two years.
  21. here ya go Vlad: https://www.piliapp.com/cool-text/strikethrough-text/ type in what ya want to "strike through" than scroll down and copy/paste here.
  22. yup, i noticed the arms coming down on the trailer..... that meant the lights were flashing before he tried crossing. i bet he also tried shifting on the tracks to grab a higher gear, which is a BIG no no.
  23. I watched an old timer break his leg after kick starting a model t and it kicked back because he had the timing set wrong. He swore kick starting was safer. He also broke his wrist years earlier, that was why he started kicking the crank. I never had any issues starting the "T" because I always used the magnito to start it, not the battery ignition.
  24. No Vlad, there is another longer video of the same truck. It has a better shot of the inertia starter, the lever used to engage it, and how long it spins on the stored energy.
  25. problem is most drivers these days are steering wheel holders... and as such, do not have any brains to use.
