  1. My bad; I thought when I first read it was running & shutting down; didn't know what application it was in either; atlas-copco had bunch of air compressors with ddec 92's & they had shut downs on them; they would cranck & run & shut down

  3. I wouldn't think so; I wouldn't think that would be engine related; I would be checking starter & wires seeing if loosing fire to solenoid
  4. If it's a ddec I don't see how to fix it without a reader & trouble shoot guide; but if going to guess it possible it's not getting an oil pressure signal & shutting itself down
  5. Didn't mean to mislead you on gear selection; just I don't always pull RGN's all the time; lot of van & pretty long trips & at 70mph 398 rears turns 15 to 1600rpm's & fuel mileage isn't very good; don't think you have to run wide open all the time
  6. What would've gone in the big spot over by the fuel gauge? that dash does look cool

I talked to a man there in sales bout a used truck; can't remember name; but super nice & sent information I wanted & checked back with me; they had a very detailed description of truck; from like had new front tires but kingpins were worn out because of tire wear; most places your lucky if someone is there & if they even call you back; most seem to be clueless

  9. I know of couple of R's that came from the factory with 5spds & had econodyne on the hood
  10. I thought from reading posts that if you changed from a 5spd to a multi shift trans you needed to change injection pump to get right performance out of engine

My truck is 12 model CHU had 204,000 when I bought it; has 244,000 on it now; I've put injectors in it; close to $5,000 probably & did it myself (tools & parts); & 2 nox sensors $1,000; adds up quick!!! really like it except for the emission crap its 505c, 18sp maxi torque 398 rears; 13,220 front axle, 44 rear, 225wb, 125 fuel on driver side & 50 on passenger & 50 gal Hyd tank, headache rack, & it weighs right at 21,000lbs. full of fuel really wished I'd bought new & got exactly like I wanted & warranty; can't give them away now!!
  12. This is what I was talking about with my suggestion; of best warranty money can buy & trading before it runs out if feasible; if you don't know anything about these newer trucks I have another suggestion; you better read up on this forum some more!!
  13. I always post on here; & I google that code; you can just put code #'s in & it will come up; most of time it will be a BMT answer on there; or wait for 1 of the mechanics to get on here; they have helped me several times; top notch guys!

  15. Don't care how much money they have; but they should have to pay the taxes like everyone else does; & not be exempt from any of the laws
  16. I would spend my extra money on the best warranty you can buy & plan on trading before it runs out if feasible

Condenser looks clean; I was thinking if it was stopped up it wouldn't cool & high side would get high enough to shut down; I know enough about a/c to be dangerous; cabin filter is clean & has good air blowing through vents when evaporater doesn't freeze; I think the problem is compressor not cycling but don't know what causes that thanks

My A/C works to good; it does not cycle; not close to house where I can put gauges on it; buy seems like it's doing good except won't cycle; it will freeze up if not running fan on high; the folks where I bought truck said they had just put new controller in it; thought it might be something that was common problem thanks for any help

  21. I got a guy to clear it with his tech tool; when he looked it said inactive; anyway that's all I've done & ive put thousand miles on it & no problems
