  1. Yikes. If the rocker shaft soft plugs are the issue, and for that long ? Safe bet everything on the overhead is galled up bad. You're gonna be looking under valve covers and likely taking the pan and pump off for a good inspection. Any chips or filings in the oil ? Basically what Joey already said.
  2. Does the engine brake still work ?
  3. Check the soft plugs didn't come out of the rocker shafts ?
  4. That body looks kinda nice. I'd think whoever put it on that truck must have figured the truck was in good enough shape to do it. The more I look at it, it looks to be in way more than fair shape. I'd imagine some parts will be a challenge to locate. There wasn't a real lot of those even when they made them compared to CHs or CLs .
  5. Looks like someone has a brick or something in front of the tire, like a wheel chock. That old girl don't look too bad.
  6. I'd like to see david pacman's spin on this
  7. This is an interesting truck. I don't ever remember seeing a floor raised in the cab like that either.
  8. (lol) I had to read that several times before I understood what you meant. Now I get it.... pretty clever .
  9. Almost looks like it has a (74) on the hood. Vlad's correct, something isn't right with the fan. Wild guess, but I wonder if it was born with a Hall Scott ? Then it might actually be one of 3.
  10. This one is priceless
  11. They're Budds on that, maybe why they look different.
  12. List "coal" as a hauled commodity on your liability insurance being based in Pennsylvania, then see what it does for your premiums . It takes a sharp insurance agent to word it correctly if you just haul some prepared anthracite. I'm told it's because of the soft coal guys.
  13. I got a nice CH once over this issue.
  14. Someone already tried a repair on the bottom flange between the tandems. Like said earlier, fairly common place for a problem on one of those. Truck has potential, definetely worth making some kind of repair to.
  15. I figured something. (and here I thought it was from me lloking at too much smut)
  16. IDK what happened, I was locked out a couple days. But ty for the response. I never knew something like that existed. Maybe why I never maimed myself with one.
  17. At the risk of sounding dumb, what's that one that doesn't have a regular bar for ? I've never seen a saw like that.
  18. That stand Joey has looks like an OTC . There used to be adaptors for the different engines back before there were so many different engines. ( and so much clutter on them ) Quite a piece of equipment . Can't remember the price, but one of those back then wasn't for the hobbyist.
  19. Harbor Freight always asks if you'd like to buy the extended coverage..... they should offer some kinda insurance for when you get hurt using their junk.
  20. I don't think that truck looks too bad. Someone may get a good deal on it.
  21. Duramax was a joint venture between GM and Isuzu. Those guys been using 90 degree V8s a while.
  22. Ever wonder where the Duramax ideas came from ?
  23. Uh uh uhhhh 😂 we do love ya Joey.... n not in the fruit cake way
  24. Mech....... it was our word long before those people's. A lot less would have got done along the way if we never did what we do or did with trannies than any of this nonsense will ever accomplish.
