  1. I'm gonna forward this to AOC and John Kerry
  2. I couldn't get it to play either 😞 but FYI the one with the bullnose KW is a pretty good consolation prize
  3. Thanks for the link
  4. If it works, leave it alone ( lol )
  5. That's what he's talking about. Check on top of the transmission and look for something disturbed from the reverse switch issue. The sensor's plug is likely up there. It's not impossible the speedo sensor is bad as well. On occasion, those plastic ones don't live through being touched ( like as in resetting it's depth )
  6. The sensor's plug might be close to the reverse switch's plug. Might be from touching wires there, hard to tell without being able to see it. Did you look at it ? wiggle the plug ? unplug it and plug it back in ?
  7. That's it. If they were doing anything by the reverse switch ? I'd look for something like if it's unplugged (maybe someone did it by accident and didn't plug it back in ??) or pinched or green stuff in the wires. Seems odd it would just stop working at the same time.
  8. If there's no clutch brake on a Roadranger , doesn't that make it difficult to adjust the clutch or give it way too much travel even if the bearing is close to where it should be ?
  9. That ring you described ? I can almost remember that being some kind of repair for when a spoke had a piece broken off (like from a spinning rim) I wanna say they were called Harris rings (?) guys used them instead of replacing the hub so the rims would tighten up and run somewhat true.
  10. The novelty wheel chock probably costs twice as much as when the show was planned . No wonder they're tiny
  11. Hmmm....I see (lol)
  12. He likes the Superliner.....he should pay more attention to the R Model
  13. Sometimes the ATHS has wheel chocks with branding in them from the event.
  14. Don't get frustrated, use the tach. You'll get the hang of it.
  15. Yep, that's it. Those have really close ratios to an 8LL but a different approach to the lower gears.
  16. Mack has a transmission (310 something ??) has reverse on a yellow button (not the MLR) anyway, the ratios of it are all very close to the ratios in the Fuller. Mack calls it a ten speed, it too has the repeat H for the 8 most used forward gears
  17. 400 to 450 RPMs watch your tach, you'll have an easier time finding it
  18. (lol) and then there's salesmen who make it even more confusing and call them a "ten speed"
  19. Guys usually refer to a Fuller 8 speed as an 8LL here. It's an 8 speed in the typical repeat H pattern, then has reverse and low ( selected by the shifting lever) and then another low selected by an air shift. (button on shifter or older trucks may have had a valve mounted somewhere other than the shifter)
  20. There should be a sticker (maybe on the sun visor ??) that will have a brief description of range shifting from hi to lo. Safe bet that from one speed to the other will be pretty close to a 450 RPM difference (up or down) so a downshift from say 6th to 5th , if the engine was at 1400 RPMs you'd need to take it up to @ 1800 or 1850 RPMs (on a relatively flat ground) and to up shift it would go from 1800 to 1400 . Should get you a little closer trying that than grinding
  21. Could be the results of someone's inexperience with two sticks
  22. I'm pretty sure it's a REO with it's water manifold and spark plugs missing
  23. Weren't they in deuce n a halfs ??
  24. Almost looks like an old REO Gold Comet missing a couple things
