  1. I met an appraiser from Middleboro Ma last week. He does antique cars and trucks. His name is Everett at Interstate Appraisal 508-947-5058 Westerly isn't that far from there hour and a half maybe.
  2. I mean to talk to someone. Fingers aren't typing what I'm telling them to.
  3. Might need some friends from Federal Hill tp "talk" someone
  4. used to be afraid of heights until there was a paycheck involved
  5. non productive employee for bait
  6. fishin' for whale
  7. Put up a new hotel roof sign this week. Big crane, nice view of Boston from top of sign.
  8. Actually thats a good idea, I am putting an electric compressor and small tank in just for the air horns but I don't think that really requires monitored air pressure. This got me thinking maybe a trans temp gauge, I'm going to check to see if they make a matching one.
  9. It's An air pressure gauge , needed to fill one blank spot
  10. It came as a full set, google Dolphin Gauges in Florida. I would think their mechanical speedo set would work on the firetruck. I got the electronic one with a GM pulse generator so I can adjust it easier (I hope). I think the mechanical set is about $230. I got the universal wiring harness from them too $185 and that looks pretty well made. Won't know how the gauges work for a little while, there were only a few reviews online but people seemed happy with them.
  11. Made some progress, cut shifter holes in floorpan and got that back in, made linkage for transfer case, got steering column and steering shaft in. Got a rear wiper motor from a Saturn Vue, going to try to adapt it to the B Model wiper linkage, it will be single speed but I think that will be ok. Guages and wiring harness came in yesterday really like the art deco faces. I hope I can get this moving around the yard under it's own power before I leave for Macungie
  12. It was a whole kit from an ebay speed shop in Iowa, they call it a corvette style master cylinder with a double diaphram booster it came with a brake pedal and bracket. I used the same booster and master on my 57 IH 2 ton and it locks the brakes right up (one of these days I'll get a proportioning valve on that thing and get it adjusted right)
  13. Photos of the interior green paint code from Napa
  14. I'll be there. Can't wait, 3 days a year I can get scrapple and eggs
  15. I'm just south of Boston, Getting real busy with work so although I'll be at Macungie I probably won't have this finished in time.
  16. Got the transfer case shifter and the e brake handle in tonight some creative bending was required. Wiring harness and guages are on their way.
  17. Thank's, I started to cut my own foam rubber gaskets last night, wasn't too happy with them.
  18. Nice job, that;s pretty much exactly the look I'm going for with the one I'm building.
  19. Real nice Binder. What town did it end up in?
  20. Thanks guys, Got the brakelines and master cylinder finished up, started pricing cab lights, not too much curved base stuff out there anymore. I found a full set of nos kd517s for my A-car when I did that over, glad I saved the old ones. The chrome is flaking off, tried some "chrome paint" on the inside of one, don't know if I should just leave them as is or use the paint. Air horns were real rough painted them white. I think this will look pretty good against the black cab. Going to rework and extend the transfer case shift lever so it will look like a duplex. I've got to come up with an electric windshield wiper motor that can work with the Mack wiper transmission.
  21. Thanks Paul
  22. More progress, Painted the cab last night, took a couple of hours this morning and went off to the muffler shop. I think this will be the only thing I have to send out for. Got the cab back on this afternoon, should be getting brake lines finished, steering column and shifters in next.
  23. Thanks, just wish it was as solid as your's is, this has a whole lot of patches.
  24. Got bodywork and primer done on the cab. Had to find and drill out and tap the grab handle holes. Top bolts were broken off and covered with bondo, bottom bolts were ripped right out and a patch had been welded in. Found a Napa that mixed the green spray paint that I saw on here. Did a test spay on dash panel, stuff goes on nice. Paint is coming this week, hope to get the cab sprayed and back on the frame in the next week or so.
  25. Got some bodywork done this weekend. Pretty thick bondo on the back of cab. Had to rebuild tops of door openings.
