  1. No, he's ok he used "Green" ethanol-formulated gasoline.
  2. The thing-a-mabobs (especially the metric ones) are expensive!
  3. Was it ethanol or non-ethanol gasoline?
  4. Several State of NJ Forestry Service Fire Crews are on their way, including two crews from Joint Base Mcguire/Dix/Lakehurst,.
  5. One thing that I learned when I first purchased my toy......and tried to title/tag it...... 96% of the people answering the phones, that stand behind the counters, or otherwise disperse information or are in charge of approving the paperwork for issuing titles or tags at the various State Agencies HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE about the regulations and laws that cover antique rigs that are privately owned hobby rigs and are no longer within commerce. THIS INCLUDES THE COPS OUT THERE. Many of them are clueless about CDL exemptions and commercial regulations exempting antiques. You need to make it your mission to find the 4% that DO HAVE A CLUE, because the 96% will insist that they are correct, will make ZERO effort to look up the codes, even if you cite them, and will not pick up the phone to find a member of the 4% club. I had to get one of my elected officials involved. Yes. It was that bad.
  6. NOT TRUE. In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a vehicle tagged, titled and insured as an ANTIQUE and is not acting in Commerce is not required to stop at scales, even if it weighs in excess of 26,001 pounds.
  7. He's being a tease and making us wait.......I hope.
  8. Contact the ATCA. They have a full, comprehensive list of requirements/regulations for each and every state.
  9. By the way, if you are on facebook, I run and FWD Trucks/Firetrucks group.
  10. Hey....Lookit that....An FWD Firetruck.....Here on BMT......Who'da thunk THAT? Welcome Pointychops......I own 1958 #F80438 with the F554G (140GZ) Thunder Pumpkin. 750/500. I have a 5-speed overdrive Clark transmission, a rarity in FWD Firetruck chassis.
  11. UPDATE 08/10/2015: The rig has been delivered and is currently at the local dealer here in Southeastern Pa. undergoing equipment mounting, having punchlist items taken care of, and getting the graphics and gold leaf applied. When everything is all mounted up and the graphics and gold leaf are on, I'll take some of my own pics and post here. The plan is to have everyone trained and the truck in service by September 1. In the meantime, here are the official factory delivery photos.....All photos courtesy of Ferrara Fire Apparatus
  12. From Cape Cod??? If so I think I know it..........
  13. I had an underground nest of bumble bees a few weeks ago. I got the big-assed (thats a highly technical term for "large") pasta pot and boiled up some water and went out there at night and poured it all down the hole. Figured the little bastards were done. Nope. Now I have Zombie Bumble Bees and a big 1' diameter brown circle of dead grass smack in the middle of my nice green yard.
  14. WOW!

  17. That's "Double-Secret Probation Zoom"
  18. Love that Hayward R-Model
  19. Well, as I was in the minivan, I was suffering from Altitude Deficiency. Plus I think that SWMBO (sitting next to me the whole time) might'a had an issue with me taking pictures of girls in cars even if I weren't suffering from Altitude Deficiency. But since you asked, here is the usual pic of SWMBO and two of her friends.
  20. I saw this Greyhound asleep on my sofa. I saw this beach resort town called Carolina Beach from the bridge on NC 421 over Snow's Cut I saw this sweatshirt at Fort Fisher National Military Historic Site so I bought it. Good thing I did, because I forgot to pack one and the air conditioning in the place we were staying got rather chilly at night. I found this on Kure Beach, NC near Fort Fisher. It's either a piece of Fulgarite, a prehistoric sex toy, or a fossilized turd. I saw two CH-53 Super Stallions descending into Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. I saw the Beirut Memorial near the main gate to Camp Lejune. I was only 10 when it happened but I remember it. Wanted to see it and pay my respects.
  21. "Ok, who's the U-Boat Commander?" (5,000 points to the first person to name the movie.....) And I didn't go any southier than Pawley's Island, SC.
  22. I am a purist but it does look good........

  24. Lick all the folds until you taste shit and then back up one..........
