  1. When you arriving and where are you staying??
  2. Kudos to the driver for helping, but for the driver of the 4-wheeler: "Here's your sign."
  3. "Happiness is a belt-fed weapon."
  4. Just curious- Will the high fuel prices effect anyone's attendance at shows this year? The F554G Waukesha in my firetruck slurps about 3MPG and the wife has this thing about paying the mortgage on time and being able to feed the kids (she's funny like that....) so obviously I will probably be cutting back on show attendance. One show I WILL go to (and the wife knows not to screw with me over) is Macungie as that is only about 10 miles from the house, and it is one of the weekends that I "live for" all year.... Interested to see what others are doing/not doing.
  5. loud, obnoxious, oil-dripping, smoke-blowing, shaking 2-cycle mechanical assholes. POS overgrown lawn-boys.........
  6. I think I'll go to the range tomorrow and practice my double-taps.
  7. Had a professor tell ME once: "Those that can, DO. Those that can't, teach."
  8. Don't you mean the VIRGIN Connie Swayle?

  9. Driving a Volvo is like having sex with an ugly girl- it can be good, you just dont want to be seen doing it.....Or is that about KW's?? I can't remember......????
  10. Why'd somone have to ruin a perfectly good Mack by putting a 2-cycle mechanical asshole in it????
  11. How can someone get rid of your vehicle without the title?? Here in Pa. scrapyards will not touch a vehicle without the title.... -And the moral of the story is.....Get a storage contract in writing, even if they offer space for free, you offer to pay a buck a month or whatever- get the terms IN WRITING!!!!
  12. That has to be one of the most perfect asses I have ever laid my eyes upon.
  13. I have several aussie friends and they all say they wouldnt use Fosters to wash their cars.....
  14. My wife's family is Hungarian....the first time she ever made me this, I called it "Hungarian Sloppy Joes." She never made it for me again, which is precisely what I wanted to happen. Now if I can just convince her that noodles and cabbage dont belong in the same pot.............
  15. If you are on Facebook, join the "Friends of Autocar" page.
  16. Is this an aluminum Hayward F-Model????? Brings back memories of my father's Hayward F-Model single screw tractor, had a 300/5 speed/2 speed rear, he hauled new Trailmobile Trailers out of the factory in Lansdale, Pa. for Charles E. Danbury for years before he switched to freight and got an Allentown F-Model with a 300+ and twin screws.
  17. I grew up in the right-hand seat of two F-Models on weekends and in the summers, and loved every minute of it!!!!! My father is now retired, however he still works part-time delivering brand new firetrucks out of the factory in Breda, Iowa mostly to the east coast. Hopefully one day my boys will be able to tag along with him for one or two rides.
  18. "When I knod my head, hit it!!!!"
  19. When I was a career firefighter, we had a slice pack on our heavy rescue, I was never impressed with it at all. Later on the powers bought us a PETROGEN torch set. which uses gasoline and oxygen- and this thing kicked some serious ass. I nevr got to use it at an actual incident, just during training- I was amazed at the speed and efficiency it could cut through a piece of railroad track. Check out this video: (oh, and they are made in the USA!!!!!)
  20. I dont think it's a CF. I opened the pic up in my photo editor, and zoomed in on it, and although I didnt get close enough before loosing to clarity, I did figure out that it's something with a Cincinatti Cab, beings the pic was taken in Roanoke, it could very well be a Howe/Oren
  21. I called Wauky-Dresser about a year ago and was advised that I could no longer obtain OEM parts for my engine- anything I needed would have to be bought aftermarket. Most places that have parts for oilfield applications usually tell me that "oh thats too small for us, smallest thing we deal with is the 1098 CID engine.....I did some reasearch today, some places are advertising parts for the 140GZ/F554G but we shall see when I call them on Monday.
  22. Thats precisely how he wanted me to pay, but I did not fall for it. I appreciate anything you can do. I have spoken with a bunch of folks at a bunch of different places that all "hit" when I google any of the numbers, and they all say the same thing: "Sorry, not made anymore, not in stock. Pray that you find someone with a NOS set." Jobbers Warehouse (also known as ROBBERS Warehouse) has a head set on the shelf for 700 bucks.....The websites that "hit" when googled show the price of the head set and full O/H set for anwhere between $119 and $245 bucks. I dont even want to know what Robbers wants for the full O/H set if they have it...........
  23. You sent me an email claiming to be some parts place in London, England that had the head set in stock, but after some suspicious answers to my questions (because you triggered my suspicious instinct to begin with.......) you claimed you could not send me a picture of the gasket set due to "technical problems" with your internet and then computer and then camera......So finally I said "no picture no deal" and you dissappeared off into the sunset. Do you have the damn gasket set or not???? LOL
  24. Tried to add onto the thread I already started, but for some reason it would not let me "reply." Still looking for any parts for a Waukesha 140GZ (F554G) straight 6 gasoline engine. Especially in need of a head or full overhaul gasket set- here are some numbers... VICTOR FS1889 and VICTOR HS1889 FEL-PRO FS7831C and FEL-PRO HS7831C Any leads appreciated!!!!! yardo@rcn.com Anyone wishing to try and fraud me out of money like the other guy that replied to my thread on here (you know who you are) you will be fully investigated prior to me sending you any money, and I want pictures of the parts alongside a most recent copy of your local newspaper.
