  1. Ok that picture attempt didn't work.
  2. Yep Michael, we'll be there on Saturday. We've been doing bits and pieces on the Ford, mostly interior cab stuff. And yeah, we're scooping up the former Collingdale rigs. I did find out the 52 Mack A Model that went to Hellam, Pa after it was replaced by this Seagrave went to Colorado around 1995, so that'll probably not be back. >>>As a side not to anyone, I have no idea how to put a picture on. Any Help??<<<
  3. Bullhust...THANKS!!! Good info, I kind of thought that, thanks for going the extra mile! Olivetroad, I'm bringing it home on Monday, I'll get pics of it then and get them up on here.
  4. Realizing there are other rigs out there in addition to Mack, I have purchased a 1969 Seagrave rear mount ladder truck, a former Collingdale #1 truck. The owner has provided me with 2 numbers so I can get it on my insurance for the ride home. R4511 and SR20756 Anyone familiar with Seagrave know which one is the registration number?
  5. We aquired a 1963 Ford / Hahn C-850 pumper. Solid as a rock but the cab interior has taken a beating over the past 49 years. There are a ton of sources for all sorts of F series parts, does anyone have a lead on C series stuff? Cab interior components, like floor mats and headliner in particular. I tried OEM at our local Ford dealer, no luck.
  6. Looking for a source for valve cover gaskets for my 48 707.
  7. I'll be there Sunday, space 122 in the main building. Won't have any t-shirts for sale, maybe 1 blue light, but I will have a lot of appliances that came with the "new old Mack" and just don't fit the genre of a 1948 rig. Like, Storz fittings for the steamer? Also have a brass bell and a chrome bell. Stop by for a chat.
  8. Throttle shaft is very free, almost too lose it would seem, but then my experience is with Ford 2bbls )
  9. Mirrors pictures I'll get back to you on the pump, thanks!
  10. Mike, didn't realize Cal did the rebuilds. My dad has a place in north Jersy that did some carb work for him but maybe I'll call Cal, seeing he is familiar with the truck. My dad does want that pickup, is there a good time we could cruise up and look at it? My email is dcckaiser@juno.com, if you'd want to comunicate off of the forum.
  11. Ok, now I'm ready to have the carb from 85LS1190 rebuilt. It's a Zenith. Any suggestions of a quality rebuilder I can take it to (Philadelphia area) or send it out to?
  12. Installation complete, brackets came from AW Direct, Mack bubble mirror heads from Watts.
  13. Looking to put west coast style mirrors on my 48 85LS. It's an open cab, with full doors. I know some of the purists will cry, but with the kind of highway driving in the Philadelphia area I anticipate doing, safety overrides originality on this one. So, I guess my question is, anyone ever done it, or have any leads as to where I can get them?
  14. Still have the Hahn and the sedan cab Mack, just not too road worthy anymore. Not looking at this rig as a replacement, more like an addition to the fleet I can still take on the road.
  15. Santa parade in Collingdale last Saturday. Even though the pump is "toast" she still is a mighty fine ride and a big crowd pleaser. 48 mack 12 12 10.bmp
