Why does everyone think that finding parts is such a hassle these days- with the infinite number of resources available through the internet- especially when you find places like this or facebook with the numerous groups on there....Parts can, have and will continue to be found!!! Another thing that you have to remember is that many parts are not exclusively Mack, such as the hydraulic wheel cylinders- the ones that Mack used from that time period were either of the big three- Ford, GM, or Mopar. My 1958 FWD uses a GMC master cylinder, and the clutch slave cylinder is a Ford master cylinder. In any case, brand new ones are still available to this day from Bendix and Wagner through NAPA and other distributors.

Call ITE fire apparatus in Hagerstown, Md. They used to have a huge stock of CF parts as they used to be (dont know if they still are) well known for refurbishing CF chassis rigs. www,itefire.com

The air horns are not Mack- probably Grover or Buell. If the spotlights you are talking about are the swivel ones on the corners of the cab, the best thing that can happen to them is getting destroyed. And they are not Mack, I forget who makes them, possibly Grote??? The bumper extension brackets I have to believe that a good frame man could fabricate.

First thing you need to do is contact Don Schumacher at the Mack Museum- access his email through the Museum's portal off the Mack corporate website. Send him an email with the serial number of your truck, and in 8-10 weeks you will receive a large and very heavy package via UPS. It will be heavy because it will contain all of the factory records for your truck, plus engine, driveline and frame/body manuals. (several hundred pages each.) For this, thou shalt send the Mack Museum a nice donation- DONT BE CHEAP.

Here's a later MC version that I took on the Manhattan side of the Holland Tunnel early on a Sunday morning probably 20+ years ago (back when you could do something like that because the PA Cops knew the difference between a Truck/Fire Buff and a Terrorist.)

That FDNY MB was a tractor for a tiller-ladder and then later converted by FDNY Shops with the 750 Holmes and a body I believe was built in-house.

Yup. They're cheap enough. Do the whole thing instead of having that spring pop out and taking your head off. If the slack adjusters look like they are in good shape and dont have any slop just take em off, clean em up real good and grease em and you should be ok.
