  2. Will Do. I have to get the truck back by Wed night because it has inventory on it that we sell when were not at a race track. I can gladly carry out tools and drop them off in minden NV so long as I know I can get over the mountain south of I 80 with no troubles. Even if you got a head start on me Sunday I would not be far behind you come Sunday Night. I would have to ask about passengers just because of the insurace issue. if its not a problem you can gladly ride along out there. But just remember it will be another 4-5 days untill I start my way back home after I dropped you off..what will that truck run out at on the big road. do i need to bring a rope??.LOL Trent
  3. Rob I leave california Laguna Seca raceway Sunday afternoon May 13th. 7. Check truck paper and eBay. They pop up crime time to time..
  8. yea... thanks rob that gave us more of a picture than our brains wanted......LOL
  9. happy birthday!
  10. if the rears are out of alignment with the front it will tend to push the rear of truck outward and then you have to compensate with steering. when empty it may not feel as bad. could also be the alignment of the draglink, ackerman, steering box. As Bollweevil mentioned.. the truck sags when loaded and this will push the draglink forward or backwards thus moving the steering wheel. Most times this is only noticed when very heavy as it needs alot of sag to notice the wheel position move.
  11. Im intrested as well. been looking for one for a while now as My truck is dual Exhaust.
  12. here is an idea/ remove the inside duals and then go for a drive. If the bounce is still there start swaping out tires with others untill it smooths out, could also have all balanced just for kicks and to elimanate the tires. The drums may be out of wack also They use to just weld weights to them, sometimes they rotted away and fell off tho? Trent
  13. Larry..Do you post over on the Yellow bullet message board?. The off topic section is Awsome. its pretty much all NWS LOL!!!
  14. Does she cone with the swing? If so I will take 2
  15. Harley...sorry not my style.... I like real bikes such as a old Indian...just cant afford one or find one....untill then the old 650 will do the job just fine.
  16. Like mentioned the only issue I see is that the gearing for the mud is not perfect. the 9 speed is more of an on road transmission. I have driven many in the dirt and they will go in and out just fine but if you are stopped and have to start in the think muck first gear is a little fast and is hard ont the clutch. it also lacks a selection of reverse gears but you can get over that....If you do alot of highway it will be fine. Alot of guys put in a 8LL for dump truck and highway. as far as the rest of the truck the double frame is good unless you run in alot of salt. rears and front axel are bullit proof . engine is good and a simple truck to work around if you have basic tools.
  17. I just went thru my 97 Yamaha Vstar 650 "custom" this fall.. New paint, rubber, lowered the rear with a Indy car front spring, cut 1/2" out of the fork springs to lower the front. Added some new chrome, put the yamaha "classic" fenders on, removed the passenger seat... 58 degrees today. should have been on it! here are the before and after shots Before After
  18. yea Lindhall has had petes for as long as I can remember. I dont know when they went away from Macks but thats all the have now? never even seen a pic of a lindhall Mack.
  19. that would make a great little truck. Its basicly Medium duty truck that Mack was building back then. There was a smaller version called the Mack Jr. it looked simmilar.. Trent

  21. very cool AC... I would have just driven in home LOL!!!!!just bring a blanket and warm jacket!
  22. Back 15 years ago there was 2 of these old Mack off road tractors in Crystal Lake IL.They were parked up near a side street off of RT14 and Rt31. Looked like they were used in a pit to haul stone. Had a HD off road dump trailer. First time I saw them I was suprised as I did not know mack made off road trucks. Looked like the M series but its been so long I cant recall how many axels it had.
  23. IF the truck has been ran recently grab a bag of tools. Check them at the gate and get a one way ticket.. that's how I made my 600 mile trip to get my RS home. I did a quick, fluid , grease , dropped tire psi to around 30 and made a electrical check at the sellers yard. Then made my 10 hr trip home. My only advice would be to dodge the scales, they love to see old trucks that are worn out and make an easy target...its acctualy a fun adventure
  24. dog house .........good idea .......10-4 !!!!!!!!!
