  1. Awesome Job Larry!! It really looks great. I hope to get to see it sometime in person.
  2. Hey. I am still learning, but on other stuff I have worked on (light trucks, tractors) it does matter what way the clutch plate goes in. Not sure if this is even possible in these trucks, but just a thought
  3. Wow. I need that for sure. What model is that?

  15. Hey, did you have this truck at Gerharts a couple years ago? I think I remember the driver taking it off the trailer and upshifting in reverse. Maybe I was just crazed since it is a very cool truck
  16. Hey there is a really cool 4wd B model listed on eBay. I was just browsing through and saw the listing. I don't know anything about them.
  17. I like the brown extra short wheelbase B model
  18. Wow! I think this engine compartment could even pass a health department inspection. Very impressive job!! Maybe if I read all of your posts some of this will rub off on me!!
  19. I am new to this as well, but have a question on the oil filters. Why can't you use the screw on filters for the 673? even if it is a bypass system isn't using a screw on filter just changing what is actually doing the filtering, or is there a flow issue?
  20. Hey, Thanks Doug I had the prices written down in my pocket, but with the rain it some got wet. I was hoping to be able to get one of these trucks, but they were a little high for me. Did the auctioneer say they did not sell, cause I missed that part. I talked to the guy that bought the red truck, (although I am not so sure after reading your post)and he said he only bid once and got it. Maybe he bid to keep it??
  21. Hi Guys It was a wet, rainy day but I stayed till they sold The Red B61 (I think this is the one listed as restored) went for 15,000. I believe the the grey one with the sleeper went for 7,000
  22. Thanks to all you guys. I was thinking along the same lines, but now I will be sure to check the size of the doors. I have a pretty good start on tools but will have to beef up with the Big Boy Impact wrenches, etc Hope to catch up with some of you at the shows or something
  23. About how much would it cost to convert from the older brake systems to a maxi barke
  24. Need some advice regarding what size shop I should think about in order to be able to work on trucks. I am just trying to figure out how big a place I would need to be able to safely and efficiently work on trucks. Probably will start with just one, but reading through other posts on the site,it appears there is some sort of disease that causes the need for more trucks to be aquired. Would love to hear any thoughts and recomendations. Also regarding tools required. Thanks for any info
