  1. Noticed quite of few the Fords pictured were 8000's and had the badge under the "8000" that indicated "Ford diesel". I'm assuming that would have been the biggest Ford ag engine, the 7.8 at 240 HP. Can't imagine what they were like when it came to a significant grade😎
  2. Woiw-thx that guy has some talent. And 25 years ago you wonder how much digital help he had then vs info you can get today.
  3. Wow! Cranes are "awsome" but that TC -12 and the Euc scraper are what brand?
  4. The attached Peggy Noonan Opinion was in yesterday's WSJ. IMO, she does a great job of explaining how easy it is for those who are sitting pretty with no fear of losing a paycheck to support the "safe" continued lockdown, while those facing the grim reality of trying to pay their rent or mortgage or feeding their family look at the reality of the need for sensibly opening business back up. And while she may be viewed by some as a "conservative", she has no trouble calling Trump out when he makes one of his "mis statements". She makes a great case here for the lesser of the two evils .....again...IMO.
  5. But not as good as when he tried to order more Crown Vics😎
  6. And most importantly from a safety perspective, turn signals that don't get lost in the glare of the headlights.
  7. Thx Jim- I remember going by that terminal ( St J) on my way to my Alma Mater in Northfield-before 89 was finished. Also think there was a ilk hauler (Goddard??) in that same stretch that had a bunch of Ford Super Duties. In any case that LFT is a beauty-then again maybe I'm just partial to black fenders, green cabs and red chassis😎
  8. Just wondering- was Gay's ever connected to Holmes? Always had that idea
  9. No commonality with the Man engines? I thought the A26 was in fact a MAN engine produced here by Navistar?
  10. BH-THX some load on the tipper! Can't imagine backing that train up-although I imagine you keep the lead box straight you re good?
  11. So these "possum bellys" would be hauling?? wood chips? crops?? these are "B" trains- ? that is not a dolly, lead trailer has a fifth wheel?
  12. Wonder what their sales figures are since they started building these????
  13. Well from my "youth" I remember it was dig it by hand or in my area Shield Bantam back hoes mounted on army surplus 6 x 6's were popular. Then you started seeing Ford 8ns with I believe Sherman back hoes. Had an uncle who was a plumber and he had a Deere (green one) with a backhoe- no clue what brand the hoe was.
  14. And for sure a lot of them still are! Right Blackdog?
  15. Yah had me convinced until I saw what was on the tag trailer😎
  16. Should have included this- Dave's 230 parked outside church during his funeral service
  17. Looking good...Some additional motivation for you. The late Dave Mauro's last truck he did. Have no fear, son Patrick is taking good care of it
  18. Well nice to see that kind of commitment.
  19. For sure OD and it will stay that way. Never was crazy about the color but its original.
  20. Hah-if only they still had the drawings for the original Louisville😎
  21. Quite an accomplishment when you look at the damage
  22. Hey Matt, and on a very good note you WILL make the next Brooklyn show😄
  23. BH, Agree 100% on lifting cab-although I've heard some pretty low times that guys say they can do it in. Oh and by "JV" I was referring to GM/International "Joint Venture". When I get a chance I' m going to take some shots of a Power Stroke in a 650/750. My bet is that will be another selling feature for the 7.3. At least you can SEE one side of the motor😎
  24. Here is the GM/Inter. JV Any better? Stick a V-8under the hood of anything and it sucks IMO. Only thing that isbetter on this vs 650 is 19.5 wheels vs 22.5. Roadway? what vehicles today DON'T have major relays/fuse boxes under hood vs stuffed under dash/on firewall inside? I remember the intro videos of this JV one of the talking points was,..."crank the steering and you step inside the tire" . And then what? Just like the Ford, you get your sockets out and start removing plastic panels/stuff to get at your engine.
  25. Local dealer has a 7.3 650 on the lot and I popped the hood. When they start offering air brakes in 7.3 powered 650/750's, it will be next to Alternator. Oil filler could use an extension IMO but everything else in terms of fluids looks decent. Engine/trans dipsticks on curb side.
