Yeah Old Bill told me to chew lots of gum too. He was smoking 3 to 4 packs a day he said-nonfiltered. He must have had one lit the whole time he was awake to smoke that much, but he quit. That's alot of cigarettes for one day. Glad to se he quit, I bet those non filters are harder on your lungs.
  2. The needle fitting for your grease gun should work fine, but i would pull the trailer a little ways first before I pumped grease in it. If the old grease is hard the new grease can only go far without stopping. I'd pull it a couple miles then pump some into it. Or pull it apart to repack them. Good Luck

Sorry, I know it sucks, anymore it seems like the only time I'm home is to sleep then back to doing something. Glad to see you are holding strong on smoking.

Just think It all starts again tomorrow. How have you been about smoking?
  9. Thanks Otherdog. I had give up on this truck and have found another one, but this one is closer to me and won't need as much work as the other one. I hope he sells it cheap, and I hope it'll run. Not being greedy, but I'm not made of money too. How's the mixer?
  10. When I was on the local fire department we had a gmc pumper truck with the 671 detroit and allison automatic. I always told anyone that drove it hold it to the floor and be pissed off when you drive it. Tops out at 63 mph, man she's a singing by then to.
  11. Finally an update. I realize it's been awhile since I asked this question, but after trying every way in the world to find out any kind of info on this truck I finally got a few names and phone numbers. The truck is setting above the electric department here in town and when I was leaving from paying my bill I saw somebody going onto the property. Of course I walked up there and talked with the folks for a few minutes and the lady told me it was her uncles property and gave me his phone #. Took a few days to get ahold of somebody, but they rent the property to another man which is the one that ownes the truck. They are going to contact him today so he can contact me. Took me 4 months to get this far. Just hoping it's for sale and not like the f model i looked at a few weeks ago for 8,000 dollars. Guy admitted the f-model hadn't been started in atleast 12 years, but assured me it was in top notch condition, but again admitting it would probably need some work just to get started. Thanks for the patience guys and the useful info suggested. Thanks Joe
  12. Welcome to the site Cayoterun. I've seen you on the 67-72chevytrucks site also. How's that v-12 coming along? Always look at truckpaper.com sometimes b models appear around your way or relatively close. Good Luck
  13. My 1952 ford F-600. 226 flathead 6 cylinder. Needs work here and there, but will make a nice truck.
  14. Getting him started early I see. I can't wait till it warms up I can take my boys out to do stuff like that.
  15. A couple pictures from our home computer.
  16. From the album: Misc.

Parker mad because Paxton got to talk to Otherdog first

Not the best picture in the world, but the only one i have at the moment. Old satellite dish standing in the yard needed to come down and what better way than to use the old ford. Pulled it down in 2 tries, concrete and all. Truck is soon to be primered grey with flat black fenders and runnin' boards. Still not fully painted yet, and needs few items here and there.
  18. From the album: Misc.

Paxton talking to "Otherdog" on the phone, telling him about Parker being mean to him!!

Thought this was a neat picture. Looks like they just pulled it into the field and let her set. Trailer would look good restored behind a single axle b model.
