  1. The splitter I was talking about goes up and down. It says up-high, down low. I dove a '65 autocar with a 10 speed and the splitter was like this. With my wife in the hospital I've not had time to look at it again, but hopefully monday I will. Thanks for the help guys and for being patient with me. JOE
  2. Thamks for the help guys I'm gonna go back monday and see if aI can find the owner, and to check the trans. Thanks
  3. I Appreciate it. I e-mailed him about driving the truck up there, but still no reply. I might give him a call. Thanks JOE
  4. When does it need to be done? i'm assuming asap, so what would the pay be? I don't have a cdl, but I have plenty of truck experience. Thanks Joe.
  5. Thank you for the reply freightrain, I'm gonna go look at it again this week hopefully. I'm gonna check to see if I see a plate anywhere or mess around with the gears to see what I can find out. The floor on the passenger side it pretty much rotted out. It's only about 8 miles from my house so moving it will be pretty easy.I just wonder if it will run and drive. The hardest part is finding out who owns it to ask if it is even for sale. Thanks for the reply guys and keep them coming, except for you bigmactrucker I can drive a truck and I'm a man not BOY.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. Good to hear there's still parts out there that's no going to the scrap pile.
  7. It's just one of those never fails type of deal.
  8. That's the way it always goes. I always notice stuff like that to so don't feel bad.
  9. This truck is probably a $1,500.00 dollar truck. I'll see what I can get info wise on the trans. rThe biggest problem is the floor which is a easy fix, but who knows. Thanks for the reply and keep them coming. Thanks in advance JOE
  10. When I first joined this site I was looking at a '66 R model, well that deal fell through so I was back in the market so to speak and I found a B-model. It's a single axle dump,B61, not sure what year though. Needs the floors replaced, but it has 2 shifters and on the left shifter it has a hi/lo splitter. What trans. would it have in it? I couldn't find a plate to show the shift pattern. It's a non turbo diesel. What I'm getting at is what should I offer to pay or what should be the max price to offer. And what is the differences through the years on these trucks? I've seen them from the 50's to later 60's. It'll be a good starter truck to work with and really needs very little done to it. Thanks in advance JOE
  11. Welcome to BMT. You've come to the right place for all your questions & answers. Good luck with your new project. JOE
  12. 3 Pack Of Macks On The Back Of A Single Stack Mack With A Shack! That sounds like something you would hear on convoy. Are these engines bad for doing this?
  13. Welcome to the site from East Tennessee. What's wrong with your Transmission?
  14. Yeah there's a topic about it in the antique and classic forums called RUIN MY TRUCK. Check it out. I thought it was nice myself.
  15. I thought it was alright. What kind of heat and a/c system was that they put in it? Don't they realize that train set's gonna get messed up as your going down the road. I liked the color though.
  16. I haven't got to watch it yet, when i get off work I'll watch it. Look's alright, but a little goofy lookin' in the pictures I've seen though.
  17. I'm just glad to finally see a real piece of equipment on there. Don't get me wrong pete's, freighshakers, and binders are all right, but I was starting to get uninterested. Did you guys see the pictures on their site for the cabover international? Not bad for a cabover, but it was time to go different in my opinion. JOE
  18. Welcome to the site, and congratulations on your new truck. This site is very helpful, and don't be afraid to ask questions. JOE
  19. Thanks guys here's a link to show a picture of the truck. It looks pretty rough in the picture, but it's actually a pretty solid truck. It's v-8 powered, 2 stick 18 spd. I believe it had a jake brake not sure though, cab corners and floors are pretty solid. Not bad for a starter truck. Thanks guys. JOE http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/detail....E2F1CD0522B8B20
  20. Hi guys my name is Joe and i live in Lafollette, Tennessee and I'm thinking about buying a '66 r model mack. This is not my first mack I had a '78 R model that was a single axle dump, but had to get rid of it. Thanks in advance for the replies and this is a great site.
