  1. Yeah we went by ourselves, but she was a little nervous about it. They seem to like big trucks, and pretty much anything that makes noise. I know excatly what you mean about kids loving trucks. My nephew is almost 2 and he laughs if he hears a jake brake and loves anykind of truck period. Glad to hear from ya buddy. Have a good one, JOE

Don't worry man we care, just I believe your the only one that has a webcam. Are you feeling better since you've quit smoking?
  4. Sounds scary man. Is that whole road curvy like that? I'd be scared shi!le$$. That's me though. I see what your saying about the picture with the sign closest to you. I could probably imagine how steep that curve is maybe..
  5. And what a nice one it was. Me and him went to wal-mart friday to do a little grocery shopping and he seemed to enjoy himself. He had never rode in the pickup before and acted like he was excitied taking in all the noises the truck made. We got all our shopping done after all the women was going crazy over him smiling and kackling... until we got to the checkout and man he let me have it big time crying and fussing. I ended up having to hold him in one arm and put all the groceries up with the other. On the way home we had a few stops and he finally fell asleep 4 miles from the house. It was a nice day though me and my son just a hanging out laughing at each other. Parker couldn't go this time because he's felling a little under the weather, but he'll be going with me soon....
  6. That does remind you of "thelma & louise". Good 'ol rt. 250. The road that reminds me not to take it if I ever start driving truck. Maybe in a car, but not in a truck. Was that coils you were hauling? I figured they would lay them down on the trailer. Anyway, good pictures and good luck on the oil change it's only 38 degrees here.
  7. Welcome to the site and good looking fire truck you have there. 1957 big job eh' I'm a ford heavier duty enthusiast myself, got any pics of this truck?
  8. now that's what I had on the '79 F-model I drove. Not a "real" Mack I guess, should've been a Brockway, had a 350 Cummins with a 10 speed overdrive. I bought a 5'' straight stack at the Toledo 5 truck stop and put it on there. Sounded great, but H.H. didn't think so. I always thought cummins engines done good in macks personally. I'm trying to get my buddy to put straght out's on his cabover, but he likes it quiet. Oh well can't say I didn't try
  9. It like a 350 cummis with a single straight stack, sound of their own.
  10. Your correct Bulldogman, a guy argued with me the other day that volvo wasn't trying to ruin mack and that volvo was a better truck. I called him a f-ing liar to his face and walked off, after I told him mack was slowly dying out. I know it's just a truck, but these truck are unbelievable tough. A volvo couldn't stand the even close to a mack in my book. Give me a decent runnin' r model and put someone in a NEW volvo, I'll bet you all the money I have to my name I'll outdo ya. While all the volvo boys are hooking ther truck up to computers getting there better fuel mileage or have a chekc engine light on, I'll be cruising down the highway still making money. Volvo might have all the comfort with your auto trans. and all, but to me your just another steering wheel holding company pu$$y. These newer driver wouldn't even know how to operate a 2 stick trans. much less drive a truck with a little play in the steering. Volvo's are overpriced junk in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I could see myself in a ch series truck, but that's as far as I'll go. See Ya guys and sorry for the long post.
  11. I picked up one of them little free papers you see all the time at truckstops, and the owners of the movin' on KW were taking it to Pittsburgh power for some work - it originally had a 903 cummins in it,but I think they were changing it to a 444 or something. I'd have kept the 903, I drove one in a '74 co4070A IH and it sounded great. They're probably just going to show it anyway, they wouldn't need 800 horsepower anyway, and for just being cool,a V8 Cummins would be awesome. What paper was that in? I'd like to read about that, and I'm with you about the v-8 cummins. I never heard one but always figured they sounded great.
  12. check this out there's more pictures of the bj and the bear truck from the article in the natso book. Look under pictures and you'll see it. http://groups.msn.com/BJandTheBearFanClub/welcome.msnw
  13. Cool pictures. Sure wouldn't be a good place to stop and take a nap. Not sure if you ever look at the Natso Trucker News, but they had an article back in the december where the guy that owns the original Movin' On K.W., bought the last season b.j. K.W.. Crazy part was the B.J. truck had been stripped of the motor and trans. and was in very rough shape cool article.
  14. I'd be hitting Jeff up for a paid vacation. This site is very enjoyable for me also.

When dad was delivering hardware back in the mid nineties he would stay at a motel in hazard, Ky and one of their local stations would play bj and the bear. I never got to watch it but would like to see it. I remember 'ol Sonny and Will very well my sister used to make fun of me for watching it, but I loved every minute of it. That's when saved by the bell was the popular kids show and Movin' On would come on before it. I've heard about cannonball, but could never find much info about it. I remember first watching convoy it come on tbs and I was glued to the screen and loved every minute of it. I love old truck and shows about them. It's like i tell people, when kids my age was looking at Dr. Seuss book I was looking at the Truck Paper. Check this out http://www.ultimatedvdshop.com/movie/actio...d_The_Bear.html
  17. We went one year and you would drive a little on the track then where the car's pit at, my mom and all the other women was like "wow look at the lights", but me and dad was like "look at the banking on this track". At the bristol drageway they have a suoer chevy show every year and man you talk about nice cars. I think some people would make you tarp the nastiest, corroded over, muddiest piece of steel out there just to be dumped in a land fill. If it was a part of my job I probably wouldn't mind it to much either, but it would take me awhile to get the hangs of things. I was starting to wonder about ya also. You usually beat me on here friday evenings. Do you get the rest of today off? If you can find those pictures it would be nice to see it again. It's been about 8 years since I last saw it.
  18. Everytime I hear Nazareth I think of the band. Anyways it sounded like you had an enjoyable week. The race season starts back in a feew weeks. Over at the bristol track around christmas time you can drive on the track, because it fully decorated with christmas lights. Those banks around the curves are higher than what people think. You was talking about racing, I wish they still had the big truck races around. I'd love to see that. I never was a fan of tarping myself, but some people don't mind it. We've had crazy weather here also. Last weekend in was 4 degrees when I left for work and this monday it's gonna be 60 degrees, that'll be a nice day. Anyway have a good one.

What's the deal with people anymore, they wouldn't realize a decent movie if it hit them in the face. I've been watching some older movies the last few days and I come across Porky's. My dad loved this movie even though it's a little perverted, but you wouldn't believe the people that hasn't even seen this movie. Convoy is another one half the people I know haven't even heard of this movie much less watched it. I grew up watching movies like this, but with people today if it don't have the best actor out their or their favorite actor for that matter they won't watch it. I like newer movies to, but I occasionally like watching movies like "White Line Fever" or "Porky's". I would like to see Movin' on and BJ and The Bear re-aired on tv to show people what real tv was back in the day. Sorry to go on It's like everything is getting outdated because 1 or 2 people hates it or their wasn't enough ratings for it. Name off a few shows or movies you guys like.
  20. No need to apologize Paul, that's the way it is nowadays everybody will ring your phone off the hook to ask 150 questions and don't even plan on buying the truck. It's like today I put my '52 ford on the swap shop this morning and not even 20 minutes later there was all kinds of people calling me wanting to know this and that. Out of 8 or 9 calls only one person made me an offer on it. Kinda ticked me off to. Sonds like that truck is specd. out nice. Glad too see the B-67 is coming along nicely. See Ya JOE
  21. Welcome to the site first off, and sorry to hear about your loss. Most dump trucks are spring suspension, but on the occasion you see one with an air ride. I don't think the truck will get stuck up because of air ride, the air ride is just for a cushier ride. Maybe somebody else will have a better opinion over mine though. Good luck with your business decisions. Try posting this question in the forum under "Driveline & Suspension". Good Luck
  22. I second you on that HK. Back in the day Macks was real trucks now there just a renamed volvo to me.
  23. If he set there and blew his horn long enough I'd say somebody would come along to help him...lol
