  1. Hapy easter paul. If my old ford could make it that far I would meet up with otherdog in virginia and we could race his mixer against my ford.....lol. Glad to hear she's progressing nicely and hope you took alot of pics along the way, because you could make an awesome build thread. How about some progress pics atleast. Good luck buddy
  2. Sorry otherdog not trying to be like you, but just posting a few of my pics. The boys went and had their easter pictures made yesterday. I told Amber that the real easter bunny is on tour with Snoop Dogg, unlike Santa Clause which is a Colombian drug lord.....anyway here are a few pctures I've been meaning to post. One of them is of the boys, the other ones are the kenworth t-600 my dad drove and the '84 GMC Brigadier my buddy has. The T-600 had a 425 manual pump caterpillar, 13 over trans., and alll the bells and whistles for a 94 model. The same compan still owns this truck, but the 5th wheel is gone all the wheels are gone and some of the motor parts also. The gmc has a 350 cummins, 10spd, spring susp. pretty plain, but still a decent truck....well gotta help get the boys ready for tomorrow.
  3. I would just write them down..lol. Good pics. Are you gonna wear the straw hat at truckshows?

Try to get back down to north carolina if you can to get some more of that chicken..hahaha. Have a good week buddy and I'll try to callyou back sometime through this week.
  5. Sorry buddy but when I heard that voicemail you left me it cracked me up about the chicken. Funny road stuff..lol
  6. No I got royally screwed over on that deal. Can't trust family, not that It was for a family member, butMy brother in law works for the guy and I'm assuming changed his mind for him. My brother in law's an a$$ anyway. We are all doing good though, really spending quality time together though.
  7. Yeah I got your message today. I got a new cell phone and didn't get the voicemail setup until today. True story no doubt.
  8. I found it, not sure how I looked over it. Have you thought of a name for your bar and grill?

    Hey Joe-

You could make it into your own truckstop. I would run the counter, Bollweevil could run the 24hr truck garage, You could be out back on the smoker, Paul could be the assistant chef. Hire some hooters girls pay them a little better and business it is. Of course have the occassional truck shows and you could park the mixer out front. Just let me know when you win the lottery, cause you might have to spot me a few bucks..lol. Would be nice to do something like that though.
  11. Uh....I'm sorry, but I don't see a picture. Probably from dial up inernet. Did you post it on this blog? Sorry I would have commented on it. I don't think that would be a good hot dog over a nice warm dozer fire..lol. Maybe repost the picture or e-mail it to me.

you're welcome-let us know how they turn out. I posted a picture of that muddy jobsite in Point Marion,Pa. too. I should have gotten back further to show the hole and the fence and to better show how steep that bank was,but that's water under the bridge. Sounds like you had a fun rest of the trip to florida from when I talked to you. You was talking about a/c I fixed ours in the suburban yesterday and today it's in the 50's. If you ever get tired of truckin' you could always open you own restaurant or bar & grill. I can cook some on the grill, but suck in the kitchen. Reading this is making me hungry...
  13. Have a safe trip buddy
  14. My poor ol grinder has been through he!! and back. I have plenty of chisels from my Pull-a-part trip, but no hammer big enough. I got about halfway through cutting it when she smoked, but can't complain it's about 5 years old with constant using. Reheated pork chops don't sound bad right know, I believe the pizza wore off about 4 this morning.
  15. Well the snow finally melted today which was nice, we went to town to grocery store since it had warmed up a little. After we got back I went to clean up the garage, but that was short lived. My poor ol grinder had the big lick when I was using it to cut the top off of a 50 gallon drum I was going to use for trash collecting. After that incident I moved stuff around trying to make everything neater, but everything in front of me ended up piled up or stacked up behind me. After a couple of hours at that I gave up and come in the house to get ready for tomorrow. A friend of mine's sister is a receptionist at a heating & air shop and there hiring a few guys, so maybe I'll get hired on there.Well I gotta go and finish my reheated 2 day old papa john's pizza, cheeto's and sunkist pop. A quick dinner before I shave and all that jazz. Everybody have a good night and I'll catch you fellar's later. I'm gone as other dog says.
  16. Here in east tenn. we had a few 65 degree days earlier this week thenrain yesterday that turned to snow this morning. Hardly any accumulation though. Those 379's are nice trucks, hope the deal goes through alright. When do you think the b-model will be done? If your like I am with the suburban you'll keep it off the road when there's alot of salt....lol. Good luck Paul and try to stay warm!!
  17. We had all kinds of pictures of my mack and pictures from the car show in pigeon forge. Our computer crashed and lost all our pictures not sure where they go, but like you saod gone. Bad thing was those was the only pictures i had of that truck. We took back a scanner, printer combo back to wal-mart, because of the scanner not working. Hate to hear about your pictures.
  18. Glad to see you made it through the rest of the week alright. There calling for snow here and it is, but it's only a couple of inches. ne thing that sucked about me working at the chipmill ws if you worked during the daytime you was stuck there on a beautiful day, or if you orked nights you slept most of the pretty days away. Dad always hated having to leave on sunday evenings, but like you said that's what a truck drivers life is...lways on the move seems like. See ya buddy
  19. Thanks buddy, 23 and feel like i'm 63 in my knees.
  20. Sound's like you had a fun day. I broke down a few miles from home once and had to walk, but was about 6 miles from home. 2 drunks picked me up and gave me a ride the rest of the way home. Come to find out they had both lost their license due to dui's. I told amber I would have rather walked. Last time I called your house it just rung constantly, maybe the same thing happened then. Try to have a better week buddy.
  21. I like driving a bigger vehicle, but you have to watch like you said in the bank, etc. We had to fold the mrrors in at the automatic car wash the other day, and the suburban was about to high for it. It was real fun going across hwy 92 in kentucky from willamsburg to pineville. That's a tight road just fo cars, but coal ruck run through there pretty heavy.
  22. Almost 70 degrees today in knoxville and just to think we had snow wednesday and thursday. I didn't go to harlan county today instead we wen't to knoxville to take amber's pregnant aunt to a baby consingment sale. If you don't know what that is it's a big sale of all kinds of baby items. i tried to stay home, but they wouldn't take the suburbabn by thereselves, they claim i's to big!!! On the way we stopped by the county jail to see amber's uncle, everyone was inside except for me and parker "we was jammin' to the sirius satellite radio" then all of the sudden I heard something hit my door. Woman next to me in a newer model yukon being careless. I got out look to see no scratch, but was expecting a apology of some sort, but all I got was a funny look and overheard her laughing to the pssenger while telling her "It's old it won't hurt it". I've already been a victim of a wal-mart buggy run away to the drivers door. I realize it's an '88 but jeez!!! It looks decent enough to take good care of, anyway I got a recever hitch for it today so I can pull my traier, bad part is where the receiver's got a drop in it the trailer looks like it's nose diving. Gonna haul the garbage off and see how it does pulling a trailer around. I believe I'll be alright powerwise, but tight spots are gonna be a hassle, that thing cuts wider than i don't know what. Enough rambling for now see you guys....

    A B-61

That's not a bad looking truck at all. I like that idea Paul would be nice with setups like that.
  24. sounds like some major surgery. Maybe he thought you wanted the factory a/c option?? Sounds like she's coming along nicely though. Good luch, JOE
  25. Great, thanks for the warning No problem, Always glad to give someone a heads up that I'll be out on the road. Maybe that's why the police officer that worked my last wreck told me to keep in touch....
