  1. You sure you don't need a '52 Ford to practice on. I'm slowly gettin started on it, the teardown is the easiest part. I don't have alot of money to throw into it so I'm starting with the brakes and working my way up. I already sanded the cab completely, and I'm puttin my sandblaster to work with the frame and few other little odds and ends.

  2. Those 3408's are iron clad motors..I like the old W-900a's always a personal favorite of mine. One thing about the KW's is the doors will interchange, cause theres a '69 narrow hood w-900 sittin in jellico with Daylight doors on it. The owner bought it just for the motor and said the doors was from a '94 t-600......kinda crazy......anyway we need some pics of the 'ol girl and pics of your progress on the B model.

  3. Too bad all that gold will be covered in grease, but you'll be able to feel that money when your driving around. Sad to hear about the R-600, Very decent lookin truck and good price on her too. If i had the cash i definitely would buy it. I think it's case the economy, everyone's holding onto their cash. Would make a nice little single axle dump, or continue into the lowboy business. Hope everything's doing fine elsewhere up north and you guys have a good one.....

  4. I myself has gotten more involved in politics than ever, right down to the township trustees, are county commissioners,s are about the most crooked, payed off bunch of lairs you have ever seen, if they get voted out they will make a job for them at the water or sewer dept. for more money than they were making, If you know the right person you have it made, your right we need to get people voted, fired and replaced :mack1:

That's how it always is, Except they are strung out to the electric department around here. Put it this way my electric went from around 120.00 to 250.00 or so, when someone goes on vacation or there's raise we get a raise in our bill...

  5. Suprisingly my BP was fine, "High BP runs in my family bad", my vision was the worst for me. Doctor told me on my first physical that i was overweight for my age, build and so on, Hell I didn't need a doctor to inform me of that....Any who when i went back in November I was fine. Are you on any BP medicines, or was you aggrevated that day???

  6. I really hate to hear that Paul, after 60 years your gonna have to close the doors. Were i work we have 18 stores out of the 18 we was in the top 5 when i started there, now where in the top 3. Funny how things can turn arund on ya, the only thing keepin our store open is 4 MAJOR builders that are runnin out of jobs at the end of this month. Well one will be done after the first of the year, another one has windows and doors ready for me to deliver whenever they say. The other 2 thinks they might have something else goin' and we have John Q public. When i started we was pullin in 250 customers a day, you couldn't think about settin down, now all we do is sit and possibly pull in 75 to 100. They layed one off outside already, now they are gonna lay one off inside. Well you get my point on this. Thing is I hate to see this, Tom's been settin at the house too, It's nice to have a break, but it's nice to have electricity too. I really hate to hear this Paul especially about a family business, hopefully everything will work out we are keepin positive at work and hoping this is just a really slow time. Paul we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Good Luck buddy

  7. You couldn't of said it any better guys. "Built Mack Tough" is a statement all in it's own. You never hear "built kenworth tough" because over the years Macks have proved theirselves to be tough, reliable trucks for any job you can give them. Go to Harlan, Ky. people are still using 1st generation R-models EVERYDAY. Welcome aboard Geon glad to have ya.
